The Opportunity
We are seeking an Electromagnetic Effects Systems Test Engineer to conduct electromagnetic effects testing at the Boeing Test Facility in Wacol. This is an exciting opportunity where someone with knowledge of product life cycle, test and verification would excel. The team of engineers and technicians that work within the Boeing Test Facility are key to the successful delivery of BDA's internal test programs so a consistent focus on our people is critical. Responsibilities
As an Electromagnetic Effects Systems Design Engineer with the Boeing Test Facility, you will:
  • Conduct of test, and verification of EMI/EMC customer requirements across multiple defence programs and commercial customers
  • Develop Test Procedures and Test Reports
  • Advise customers on EMI/EMC analysis and mitigation mechanisms to assure compatibility and safety of new and existing systems and interfaces
  • Conduct EMI/EMC testing of hardware and software systems in both lab and in field environments to verify adherence to MIL-STD-461/464
  • Perform HIRF/Lightning, RF COSITE, Antenna Coupling & RADHAZ analysis and test
  • Contribute to the open, inclusive and innovative team culture

To be considered for the role (Required Skills/Experience) you will have
  • Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline
  • 2+ years experience in applying relevant engineering practices, standards and regulations
  • Desirable previous experience with MIL-STD-461/464
  • Previous EMI/EMC test experience in a lab environment
