Clio is at the forefront of the legal technology revolution that is transforming the legal experience for all. To ensure that law schools and the next generation of lawyers benefit from exposure to legal technology, and that Clio's academic footprint grows with a consistent, compelling voice in the market, we are hiring an Academic Enablement & Engagement Manager to lead content, curriculum, and cross-functional coordination for Clio's academic program.

Clio's academic access program focuses on establishing Clio as a trusted partner across every segment of the law school environment, including law clinics, law libraries, classrooms, and incubators. To ensure Clio succeeds in its academic program, this role wears two connected hats. First, it owns the development of AI and technology certification programs, curriculum, and enablement content that helps law schools and legal professionals build fluency in an AI-first era of legal practice, all with Clio's tools as the central enabling technology.  Second, it serves as a consistent point of contact in Clio’s shared resource structure to ensure consistent and on-going engagement with law schools to champion Clio’s academic programs.

This is a remote role based in the United States.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and deploy AI and technology competency certification programs, curriculum modules, and turn-key instructional content that equip law students, faculty, and legal professionals to practice with Clio's legal technology tools, including live and on-demand enablement for faculty, librarians, and students.
  • Produce a dynamic, growth-oriented library of student-facing materials that build AI competency across the law school journey.
  • Help build and facilitate Clio's academic community programs to grow engagement and establish Clio as the preferred brand in legal education.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Academic team and Clio's central marketing, content, creative, communications, and events teams, ensuring consistent and ongoing academic messaging.
  • Create, manage, and coordinate a rolling, always-on engagement campaign leveraging multiple channels for the academic program, ensuring sustained visibility across the school year.
  • Coordinate planning and logistics for academic-focused conferences and on-site presence, partnering with the larger event team on bigger conferences.
  • Measure and optimize program performance by tracking enablement, engagement, completion, and preference data across all enablement initiatives, using insights to continuously improve impact.
  • Conduct ongoing research on the legal education market, tracking technology trends, competitor activity, and law school adoption patterns to inform strategy and content priorities.
  • Represent Clio in the legal academy profession through thought-leadership initiatives and speaking opportunities.
  • Act with a team-first mentality on shared initiatives, cross-promotional opportunities, and joint conference strategy where academic and bar audiences intersect.

What You Have

  • A JD, LLM, or similar law degree from a U.S. law school, or 2+ years of first-hand, non-student experience in a U.S. law school; OR 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, content, or program/project coordination, ideally spanning multiple functions, ideally in higher education or the legal industry.
  • Demonstrated legal technology and AI competency, or strong aptitude for building it quickly.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience tracking multiple requests and deadlines across teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience with briefs, external messaging, instructional content, and product positioning.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with sales, partnerships, or business development teams.
  • Experience leveraging and experimenting with AI in the workplace to improve work throughput, individually and for the team.
