Job Description
Role Summary
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex network infrastructure to ensure low-latency, high-performance trading systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our trading strategies and maintaining our competitive edge in the financial markets.

Objectives

  • Design and implement low-latency network solutions: Develop and deploy high-performance network architectures that facilitate the rapid transmission of data to and from various trading platforms, ensuring minimal delays and optimizing trade execution times.
  • Network monitoring and performance optimization: Proactively monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to achieve optimal network efficiency and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and issue resolution: Rapidly diagnose and resolve network-related incidents and outages to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted trading operations.
  • Network security: Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive trading data and protect against cyber threats and attacks, ensuring the utmost integrity of our trading infrastructure.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with software developers, infrastructure teams, and traders to understand their requirements and provide network solutions that align with business needs.
  • Network capacity planning: Conduct regular capacity planning assessments to anticipate future requirements and ensure the network can scale to accommodate growing demands.
  • Stay updated with industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential application to improve our trading infrastructure.


Skills and Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer in a high-frequency trading or financial services environment.
  • Certification in Cisco technologies would be a benefit
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols, topologies, and architectures, with a focus on low-latency networks and proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools and automation - an understanding of Python would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with market data feeds, exchange connectivity, and trading platforms (e.g., FIX protocol) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced trading environment.


In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $350,000.
In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive compensation program,
as well as a wide array of benefit programs, such as medical and life insurance, retirement and tax-free savings plans,
and access to other healthcare programs.
