POSITION DESCRIPTION

We're looking for an Engineering Director to lead our TPRM Engineering function. You'll own the infrastructure, internal services, applications, and developer experience that power Sayari's Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) platform.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set technical direction, make critical architecture decisions, and work directly with engineers on complex problems. You'll also be responsible for building and mentoring the team as we scale.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure & Platform

  • Kubernetes infrastructure on GKE, including multi-tenant deployment strategies
  • GitOps workflows (FluxCD) for configuration management and deployments
  • Graph database infrastructure (JanusGraph/Cassandra) serving our core property graph capabilities
  • Workflow orchestration (Cadence) for durable, long-running business processes, both internal and external

Authorization & Identity

  • Authorization architecture for multi-tenant B2B SaaS (RBAC + ABAC hybrid model)
  • Auth0 integration for authentication and organization management
  • Fine-grained access control across resources, roles, and risk domains

Internal Services

  • Internal APIs and gRPC services that power product features
  • Developer tooling and self-service capabilities for product teams
  • Observability, reliability, and operational excellence across the platform

Team & Process

  • Hiring, mentoring, and developing platform engineers
  • Establishing technical standards and design review processes
  • Collaborating with product engineering, security, and Devops functions
  • Driving cloud cost optimization—monitoring spend, right-sizing infrastructure, and making build vs. buy decisions
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Technical depth in distributed systems

  • You've built and operated multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure at scale
  • You understand the trade-offs between build vs. buy decisions (and have opinions about when each is appropriate)
  • You can go deep on authorization models, database architectures, and workflow patterns
  • You're comfortable with Kubernetes, cloud-native tooling, and infrastructure-as-code

Architectural judgment

  • You favor stable, simple solutions over clever ones
  • You know when to defer decisions and when to commit
  • You can articulate trade-offs clearly in design documents and get buy-in from stakeholders
  • You've navigated migrations—whether from single-tenant to multi-tenant, monolith to services, or other significant architectural shifts

Leadership without ego

  • You lead through influence, not authority
  • You write clearly and value readable documentation
  • You're comfortable being hands-on when needed and stepping back when the team has it handled
  • You create environments where engineers do their best work
  • You must be able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, from engineers to executive stakeholders.

Technical Environment

  • Cloud: GCP (GKE, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, IAM)
  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Helm, FluxCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions
  • Data: JanusGraph, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch
  • Services: Go , Python, gRPC, Cadence workflows
  • Auth: Auth0, OPA (or similar), custom ABAC policies
  • Observability: Open Telemetry, Sentry

BENEFITS:
  • Mandatory Benefits provided including Statutory Pension, Study Fund, Monthly meal allowance provided via Cibus (or equivalent), monthly transportation costs by law, cover parking expenses when you come into the office.
  • Generous time off - 20 vacation days per year, paid public holidays as mandated by law, paid sick leave from day one, recreation pay, travel expenses and additional statutory Entitlements.
  • 1,000 ILS per new employee for home office equipment
  • Holiday gifts for Rosh Hashanah and Passover (500 ILS Gift card)
  • Outstanding compensation package; competitive commissions for revenue roles and quarterly bonuses for non-revenue positions.
  • A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • A collaborative and positive culture - your team will be as smart and driven as you
  • Limitless growth and learning opportunities
