Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Multinational Digital Infrastructure (MDI) team is responsible for designing, deploying, and sustaining the sovereign and multinational classified systems that power Anduril’s global Maritime and AUKUS missions. As a Multinational Digital Infrastructure & Systems Engineer, you will architect and implement the classified environments, networks, gateways, and access pathways that enable U.S., Australian, and UK engineering and operational teams to collaborate at speed across IL5,IL6, and releasable environments. You will work across engineering, security, Mission Ops, and product teams to ensure our digital infrastructure is secure, scalable, and ready to support emerging mission demands.
ABOUT THE JOBWe are expanding our digital infrastructure team to meet the demands of increasingly interconnected multinational environments. If you are passionate about building resilient, scalable infrastructure that bridges IT, cloud, and tactical digital ecosystems, consider joining Anduril as a Multinational Digital Infrastructure Architect.
As a Multinational Digital Infrastructure Architect, you will operate at the crossroads of systems architecture, IT infrastructure, and cloud engineering, with a deliberate focus on multinational and sovereign implementations. This role is designed for an engineering-oriented professional who will be deeply hands-on ("hands-on keyboard"), functioning as both a strategic solutions architect and an implementer.
You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and integrating infrastructure that supports secure multi-national defense collaboration, edge computing systems, and autonomous digital platforms in classified and sovereign environments. Your work will span private cloud, edge-to-cloud data flows, distributed tactical systems, and government IT environments such as IL5/IL6 secure networks across U.S., Australian, and UK missions.
1. Multinational Solutions Architecture:
- Design Scalable Infrastructure: Architect and deploy digital ecosystems (cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-prem IT) to support multinational mission systems, focusing on performance, redundancy, and security.
- Cross-Domain Design: Bridge IT-focused infrastructure (e.g., enterprise networks, storage, and virtualization) with performance-critical operational systems such as tactical edge compute platforms.
- Tailor Sovereign Cloud Builds: Participate in the creation and deployment of sovereign cloud architectures, such as U.S. AWS GovCloud, Australian IRAP-compliant environments, or UK-MOD secure regions.
- Hands-On Implementation: Actively develop and deploy compute environments, containerized architectures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and secure hybrid-cloud networking solutions.
- Integrate Mission Platforms: Deploy and configure communication systems, secure networking, and edge compute frameworks that support robotics, command-and-control, and autonomy systems via Lattice OS.
- Edge-to-Cloud Pipelines: Engineer data flows between tactical edge platforms (e.g., undersea communication nodes, unmanned underwater vehicles) and sovereign/private cloud environments.
- Enable Secure Collaboration: Architect and integrate cross-domain solutions that enable efficient, secure operational collaboration across U.S., Australia, and UK defense allies under frameworks such as AUKUS.
- Integrate Hybrid Environments: Ensure seamless multi-party interoperability of distributed systems across classified networks (e.g., IL5/IL6 mission environments) and IT systems.
- Field Support and Testing: Travel to global deployment sites to oversee infrastructure integration, provide on-the-ground implementation support, and troubleshoot real-time system challenges.
- Automate Workflows: Develop tooling and workflows (e.g., IaC with Terraform/Ansible) that improve the repeatability of complex deployments across global sites.
- Document Best Practices: Write integration guides, deployment playbooks, architectural diagrams, and technical design documents tailored to multinational mission needs.
- Feedback Into R&D: Capture lessons from operational deployments and work with engineering teams to recommend improvements for next-generation infrastructure.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-On Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on engineering or architecture experience in digital/cloud infrastructure, IT infrastructure, or solutions engineering.
- Core Competencies: Demonstrated expertise in the following domains:
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (GovCloud, SECRET Region, IRAP environments), Azure, GCP, or similar.
- Network Engineering: Hybrid networking (VPNs, SD-WAN, VPCs), secure mesh networks, and edge-to-cloud connections.
- Enterprise IT: IT systems including identity management (e.g., Active Directory/IdP), distributed storage solutions, virtualization, and classified network implementations.
- Edge Computing: Design and deployment of secure, low-latency systems leveraging Kubernetes or similar containerized technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency with Linux-based systems and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Direct involvement in end-to-end deployment of systems in on-prem, hybrid, or cloud environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work across engineering teams (software, networking, DevOps) and government partners.
- Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% to support multinational collaboration and infrastructure deployments.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with Maritime platforms, including unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), undersea sensors, or submarine combat and support systems.
- Previous work with Lattice OS or similar autonomy and sensor fusion operating systems.
- Experience working in sovereign cloud environments (e.g., AWS Secret Region, Australian IRAP-compliant builds).
- Hands-on support for classified military networks, AUKUS collaboration, or multinational mission systems integration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware/software/network interactions within dynamic, ambiguous operational environments.
