We are looking for a strongly technical and empathetic engineering leader for our growing Encounters Intelligence team. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be instrumental in developing our most critical data product, growing and coaching the team, and charting a roadmap of technical investments to achieve our product goals. You will join the engineering leadership team to help shape the culture, processes, and tools across engineering.

The TeamThe Encounters Intelligence Team is on a mission to provide the most accurate, timely, and comprehensive view of medical reality to enable our MedTech customers to effectively turn cutting edge medical technologies that could help people into technologies that do help people. We thrive on the challenge of turning the complexity of the healthcare system into simple, actionable intelligence through deep domain expertise, careful modeling, and rapid iteration.
The challenges include modeling & harmonizing the procedural data across the entire US using a combination of diverse and overlapping sources, automated data validation without access to a ground truth dataset, building systems and frameworks to deploy, scale, manage and monitor ML models and forecasting algorithms for procedure and sales volume at the individual doctor, procedure, and device levels throughout the US.
Responsibilities- Partner closely with our Product, Product Marketing, and Commercial teams to prioritize a research and implementation roadmap to maximize the value of our Encounters data product to customer use cases
- Develop a technical vision and roadmap with the engineering team to accelerate the delivery of valuable customer use cases
- Contribute meaningfully to the growth of each engineer individually and to the team’s overall operating capability
- Be a strong voice for technical excellence, a passionate advocate for thoughtful, customer-oriented software design, and a mentor and coach who inspires engineers to grow
- Drive initiatives across our engineering team to build and reinforce our culture of expansive ownership, individual autonomy, and constant learning through curiosity
- Facilitate collaboration with other teams to deliver the best solution for the customer regardless of internal lines of ownership
- Take a leadership role throughout the engineering organization, including in our hiring and onboarding processes
- 5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer with extensive experience with large data product development
- 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager
- Proven track record of architecting, building, and delivering software
- Exceptional leadership, collaboration and communication skills
- Proficient problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills to effectively address data-related challenges.
- Experience with modeling complicated data and delivering high-quality data assets and business intelligence tooling
- Experience building effective operational processes, ensuring quick and on-time delivery of complex, customer-facing projects and effective support of existing functionality

AcuityMD is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, market data and may vary from the range provided. Base salary range: $220,000 to $260,000
