As an Engineering Manager for the Platform team at Cardata, you’ll lead a team re-building our core platform from the ground up. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a startup environment, balancing technical contribution with strategic and effective delegation. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a high performing engineering team, facilitating career development conversations, conducting regular performance evaluation and providing on-going feedback
  • Evaluate and own the platform architecture and develop strategic roadmap for feature development and scalability
  • Be hands on in the development while ensuring efficient project execution and roadmap progress. 
  • Establish best practices for security, documentation,and scalability 
  • Conduct code reviews to uphold quality and industry standards.
  • Partner with the Lead Product Manager and key stakeholders to prioritize work based on business objectives, customer feedback, and technical requirements.
  • Monitor KPI’s, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand user feedback, address bugs and enhance product values.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams driving trust and transparency

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency with Typescript, React, PostgreSQL, NodeJS, NestJS and NextJS
  • Understanding of Clean Code Principles, testing, and building with quality
  • Experience with logging and monitoring platforms such as Datadog 
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to manage teams, align with business goals, and maintain clear documentation
  • Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
