Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized, technically fluent, and driven individual to support the CTO and the engineering leadership team. This role will function as a “right hand” to the CTO - managing key programs and operational initiatives, aligning and tracking engineering OKRs, coordinating across teams, and stepping in to represent the CTO when needed. The ideal person is capable of balancing strategic thinking, program management, and hands-on support while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core focus on driving efficiencies through developing financial and operational metrics, monitoring results and analyzing trends to develop impactful insights, and ultimately create reporting for executive leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Support our financial planning & analysis processes; inclusive of our monthly close & quarterly financial forecasting cycles, and partnering closely with accounting to ensure entries are properly booked
  • Collaborate with analytical functions such Engineering, Product, Sales Operations, Marketing, & others on strategic initiatives like pricing analysis, improving pipelines efficiencies, and go-to-market strategy
  • Develop and foster relationships cross functionally with all aspects of the business in order to improve corporate financial practice, implement and drive new processes, and improve business strategy

Expected Outcomes / Metrics of Success

Within the first 6 months the person should:

  • Successfully own and deliver 2–3 major cross-functional engineering or infra projects from initiation through completion.
  • Implement a robust OKR cadence: all engineering teams set, track, and report OKRs with clear visibility and alignment.
  • Reduce operational friction: measurable improvements in engineering efficiency metrics (for example, reduced blocker resolution time, improved deployment cadence, fewer missed roadmap milestones).
  • Deliver high-quality stakeholder communication: regular, concise, actionable status updates to leadership; clean documentation and decision tracking.
  • Consistently represent the CTO in meetings when needed - enabling the CTO to focus more on strategy, vision, and high-leverage tasks.
  • Build trust across teams: positive feedback from engineering leads, cross-functional partners, and exec leadership regarding coordination, clarity, and execution efficiency.

Key Attributes for Success

  • Technical fluency - Enough understanding of software engineering, SaaS architecture, infrastructure, dev ops, or product development to meaningfully engage with engineering leads.
  • Strong organizational & operational discipline - Comfortable owning operational rhythm (meetings, OKRs, metrics), project plans, follow-ups, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills - Able to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders; clear, concise, and persuasive in writing and verbal communication.
  • Proactive and resourceful - Anticipates needs, identifies gaps, takes ownership without needing step-by-step direction, and operates with integrity.
  • Program / project management mindset - Comfortable managing multiple concurrent initiatives, handling competing priorities, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
  • Collaborative and diplomatic - Works well with various levels of the organization, builds rapport, fosters alignment, and resolves conflicts.
  • Adaptable and resilient - Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic SaaS environment; able to handle shifting priorities and ambiguity.
  • Discreet and trustworthy - Will often handle sensitive and executive-level information; must operate with high confidentiality and judgment.

Qualifications (Preferred / Required)

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in engineering operations, program or project management, technical program management, or technical support roles; ideally within a SaaS or software company.
  • Experience working with engineering teams (e.g., dev, ops, SRE, product) - even if not as an engineer.
  • Familiarity with OKR frameworks, agile methodologies, project management tools (JIRA, Asana, Trello, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder management; cross-functional coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field) - or equivalent practical experience.

Annual US Hiring Range: $125,000 - $150,000 (negotiable based on exceptionally qualified candidates)

*A candidate’s actual placement within this range will depend on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
