Job Description

As an Engineering Program Manager, you will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team to drive key aspects of product execution, test, and delivery. You must be responsive, flexible, and results-driven in a collaborative peer environment. Experience with power conversion is a plus. Great leadership skills and ability to motivate team members. You will be responsible for coordination of design, integration, and launch of critical power conversion products. In addition, you will utilize your project management skills to drive program schedules and steer the resolution of technical issues that enable on-time system delivery. Key Responsibilities:

The Engineering Program Manager will coordinate internal inter-disciplinary teams through the product execution phase process. The candidate is responsible for creating the project plan, including the schedule. The Engineering Program Manager will drive the cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet defined requirements. The Engineering Program Manager will be responsible for the coordination and planning of engineering activity and managing the deliverables for the release of products through their development lifecycles.

  • Coordinate execution of projects with Engineering teams
  • Supporting high-level milestone execution in a fast-paced core technology design team.
  • Focusing design teams on meeting near term milestones and resolving technical issues with data-based decision-making.
  • Disciplined issue reporting and communication of program risks and status.
  • Conduct cross functional project meetings
  • Conduct milestone reviews
  • Coordinate project builds globally and interfacing with key stakeholders at XP Power factories in Asia
  • Create and track complex development schedules, resolving issues and tracking progress
  • Contribute to executive level updates and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Identify and drive process improvements.
  • Other duties and projects as required by management

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project engineering and/or Program Manager experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in related discipline (e.g. EE, ME, etc.) required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and presentation skills
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams through NPI (New Production Introduction) development using a Product Lifecycle process
  • Ability to drive teams and remove roadblocks to maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Maintain foresight when planning through product lifecycle
  • Experience delivering consumer electronic products preferred
  • Experience working in a dynamic engineering environment and real-time crisis resolution skills.
  • Strong desire to drive project development using well defined processes and metrics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information for each audience
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities
  • Priority on Teamwork; must be able to fit in well with a team, understand capabilities and priorities while fostering a collaborative environment
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
  • Experience with power conversion is a plus.
