"VAST's data management vision is the future of the market."- Forbes

VAST Data is the data platform company for the AI era. Designed from the ground up to make AI simple to deploy and manage, VAST takes the cost and complexity out of deploying enterprise and AI infrastructure across data center, edge, and cloud.

Our success has been built through intense innovation, a customer-first mentality and a team of fearless VASTronauts who leverage their skills & experiences to make real market impact. This is an opportunity to be a key contributor at a pivotal time in our company’s growth and at a pivotal point in computing history.

The Role

We’re looking for a scrappy, highly organized Project Manager to bring structure, follow-through, and visibility to a fast-moving technical team. This is not a traditional, slow-moving PMO role; you’ll thrive here if you’re a “full-on hustler” who enjoys creating process where none exists, nudging busy technical stakeholders, and making sure important work doesn’t fall through the cracks.

You’ll work closely with our CTO team, Sales Engineering, Engineering, Support, and other cross‑functional groups to ensure projects are scoped, tracked, and delivered, and that the broader org actually knows about the things we ship.

What You’ll Do

Operational excellence & process management

  • Own and refine workflows for inbound requests (primarily via Jira and Slack) to ensure they’re triaged, assigned, and progressing.
  • Monitor ticket and project queues, chase down missing details, and proactively follow up with owners and stakeholders.
  • Identify process gaps in how the team engages with SEs, Sales, Engineering, and others, then design and roll out practical improvements.
  • Standardize how work is documented, tracked, and communicated so the team can scale from ~12 to 15–17 people.

Project & program coordination

  • Coordinate cross-functional projects that involve SEs, Engineering, Support, and Go-To-Market teams (e.g., product trainings, content launches, internal tooling).
  • Create and maintain lightweight project plans, timelines, and status updates; flag risks and dependencies early.
  • Schedule and facilitate recurring check-ins with relevant stakeholders to drive decisions and unblock work.

Information curation & follow-through

  • Curate inputs from meetings, docs, and Slack threads into clear action items, owners, and timelines.
  • Ensure decisions and next steps are captured in the right systems (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and actually acted on.
  • Keep a running view of active initiatives and communicate progress, blockers, and wins to the team.

Internal communication & enablement

  • Help surface the team’s outputs to the broader org (e.g., SE updates, internal announcements, GTM enablement).
  • Partner with team leads to identify what needs visibility and the best channels to share it (GTMarket calls, internal posts, etc.).

Must-haves

  • 3–6+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, or operations in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Proven track record building or refining processes in scrappy, high-growth teams (startups or smaller companies strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; you’re comfortable managing many threads at once and keeping stakeholders accountable.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); able to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Comfort working across time zones and with distributed teams (including Israel-based Engineering).
  • High ownership mindset: You notice what’s falling through the cracks and pick it up without being asked.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with or alongside Sales Engineering, Customer Success, or Technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Jira and similar ticketing/project management tools.
  • Experience coordinating technical trainings or enablement programs.
  • Background in B2B SaaS or infrastructure products
