Engineering Support Specialist I

As an Engineering Support Specialist I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will provide support for hardware planning tracking with high involvement with tools such as SAP and dealing with the life cycle of hardware procurement.

You will report directly to our Sr. Engineer Manager, and you’ll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. External hires will work the first 90 days onsite before transitioning to a 3/2 hybrid schedule. 

The Engineering Support Specialist I serves as a member and collaborator in engineering hardware procurement for the Engines and Power Systems (E&PS) organization. The position is geared toward technical knowledge in SAP and material movements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support hardware planning and tracking for NPI Programs
• SAP issue resolution and status
• Support project planning and scheduling; act as liaison between engineering groups
• Support communicating requirements and risks to stakeholders
• Create and maintain hardware tracking which includes schedule and cost reporting
• Champion consistent processes within the procurement cycle
• Administrative, project management, communication, and knowledge management tasks

Travel within US and/or internationally may be required (up to 10%)

Must Have: 

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

We Value: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical communication, or related discipline 
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification (desired)
• Skilled in Project Management
• Experience using SAP
• Knowledge of United States Aerospace Procurement
• Good understanding of standard process
• Some technical experience
