With more than four decades of industryleading FPGA expertise, our singular mission is to deliver the programmable technologies that help customers differentiate, innovate, and scale across rapidly evolving markets like AI, cloud, networking, and edge. As an independent company, we move faster, invest deeper, and partner more closely—empowering our teams to drive breakthrough innovation and shape the future of the FPGA industry.

About the Role

As an Engineering Technical Project Manager focused on EDA project management at Altera, you will play a critical role in driving the execution of complex, cross-functional engineering programs that enable next-generation FPGA and semiconductor product development. You will partner closely with design, verification, CAD/EDA, and manufacturing teams to ensure the successful delivery of tools, flows, and infrastructure that power silicon innovation.

  • Contribute technical expertise to the development of new products, partnering with cross-functional teams across disciplines including electrical, hardware, software, manufacturing, and technology platforms.

  • Investigate technical roadblocks, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive solutions to ensure successful program execution.

  • Manage complex projects and programs tied to the development, implementation, or upgrade of manufacturing systems, hardware products, software programs, and technology platforms.

  • Lead program reviews with executives and department leaders, providing clear visibility into program health, risks, and financial status.

  • Drive teams to achieve program-level milestones while prioritizing deliverables to meet strategic business objectives.

  • Own requirements scoping, analysis, prioritization, and planning, including managing interdependencies, business priorities, resource constraints, and schedule optimization across multiple product teams.

  • Identify customer gaps, needs, and usage requirements to guide teams in delivering high-impact, high-ROI products.

  • Mentor and advise project and program management teams, helping to elevate overall program management capabilities and best practices.

  • Exercise thought leadership to innovate and improve processes, tools, and methodologies within the engineering and EDA domains.

  • Oversee programs requiring strong business acumen alongside technical depth in areas such as design, development, architecture, validation, manufacturing, and engineering processes.
