Position Overview

Blue Acorn iCi is seeking an Enterprise Architect to provide end-to-end architectural leadership across application, data, integration, and infrastructure layers. This role will translate business requirements into scalable architecture solutions while establishing patterns, standards, and guardrails that support secure, resilient, production-ready applications.

The Enterprise Architect will work across the full technical stack and partner directly with business, customer, technical, and leadership stakeholders to drive architectural decisions and outcomes.

Location: Hybrid - Onsite 3 days a week expected in San Jose, CA

Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise & Solution Architecture
  • Define and govern architecture patterns, standards, and guardrails across application, integration, and infrastructure layers.
  • Provide architectural leadership across the full technical stack, including application, data, and infrastructure.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable architecture solutions.
  • Take ownership of architectural outcomes while working directly with business and customer stakeholders.
Application, Cloud & Integration Architecture
  • Lead the end-to-end architecture required to take web applications live, following application architecture guidelines, standards, and best practices.
  • Design cloud architectures for scalability, security, and resilience across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Guide system integrations, APIs, and microservices or event-driven architectures.
  • Support application deployment lifecycle considerations, including CI/CD, containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
Data, AI & Governance
  • Apply Data Architecture knowledge, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data processing concepts, to bridge application and data layers effectively.
  • Architect or advise on solutions that include AI/ML components, LLM applications, or Generative AI systems.
  • Apply data governance, security, privacy, and access control principles across architecture solutions.
Stakeholder & Architecture Leadership
  • Present architecture decisions to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to navigate architectural decisions and requirements.
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while providing strong problem-solving and architectural direction.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or a related technical field, with a broader scope beyond data pipelines.
  • Proven experience taking web applications live end-to-end, following internal application architecture guidelines, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong exposure to Data Architecture, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data processing concepts, to bridge application and data layers effectively.
  • Experience defining and governing architecture patterns, standards, and guardrails across application, integration, and infrastructure layers.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including architecture design for scalability, security, and resilience.
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and microservices/event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with the application deployment lifecycle, including CI/CD, containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • AI exposure, including experience architecting or advising on solutions that include AI/ML components, LLM applications, or Generative AI systems.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and access control principles.
  • Ability to work across the full technical stack, including application, data, and infrastructure, and translate business requirements into scalable architecture solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting architecture decisions to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work directly with business/customer stakeholders and take ownership of architectural outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications/Education
  • Experience as an Enterprise/Solution Architect in a customer-facing, consulting, or platform organization.
  • Track record of taking multiple applications or platforms into production, including post-launch scaling and support.
  • Familiarity with data engineering technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Databricks, or Snowflake, enough to collaborate effectively with data engineering teams.
  • Experience defining architecture review processes, governance boards, or intake/approval frameworks for new systems or connections.
  • Experience with distributed systems and large-scale application/data processing architectures.
  • Experience transforming prototypes or proof-of-concepts into scalable, production-grade systems.
  • Familiarity with internal Adobe or comparable enterprise architecture review and compliance processes.
  • Experience mentoring engineering teams on architecture best practices and design patterns.
Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $150,000–$200,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
