The Enterprise Project Manager will help translate priorities into actionable plans, drive alignment across stakeholders, identify risks before they become roadblocks, and provide leaders with clear visibility into project progress, dependencies, and decisions.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex organizational challenges, and can balance attention to detail with a strong focus on outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage enterprise-wide projects from planning through execution

  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and accountability structures

  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to align priorities, facilitate decision-making, and drive successful project outcomes

  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions

  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, resource constraints, and stakeholder alignment issues

  • Prepare executive-level project updates, dashboards, status reports, and readouts

  • Ensure leaders have visibility into project health, key decisions, upcoming milestones, and areas requiring support

  • Drive follow-through on action items, decisions, and commitments across teams

  • Build and maintain project management tools, templates, trackers, and reporting frameworks that improve visibility and accountability

  • Support prioritization, intake, and governance processes for new initiatives

  • Recommend and implement practical process improvements that enhance execution without creating unnecessary complexity

  • Anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and help teams navigate obstacles to keep projects moving forward

  • Support organizational change efforts by helping teams adopt new processes, workflows, and ways of working

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, consulting, business transformation, integration management, or a related field

  • Healthcare experience required; experience within an ASC, physician practice, MSO, or healthcare services organization strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities

  • Experience partnering with executive leaders and influencing outcomes across all levels of an organization

  • Strong project planning, organization, and execution skills

  • Ability to identify risks, dependencies, decision points, and stakeholder alignment gaps before they impact delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, build alignment, and manage competing priorities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentations

  • Experience creating and managing project plans, dashboards, trackers, status reports, and related project management tools

  • Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and drive accountability across teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in dynamic, fast-changing environments

  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools

Role Overview

We are seeking an Operations Counsel to serve as a field-facing legal leader embedded directly with our operations teams. This is a highly practical, execution-oriented role designed for a lawyer who thrives in fast-moving, multi-site healthcare environments and enjoys being close to the business.

In this role, you will act as the primary legal partner to our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) operations organization, ensuring that enterprise standards are consistently adopted and effectively implemented across all locations. You will translate legal and compliance requirements into clear, actionable guidance for operators, helping the organization scale safely, efficiently, and with minimal friction. You will also serve as the internal legal business partner for ASC-level transactions and de novo development projects, driving deal execution from LOI through close and coordinating physician syndication processes—making you a key contributor to Compass’s growth engine.

Success in this role is defined by speed of execution, operational clarity, and reduced variability and risk across the field.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner directly with ASC leadership and field operations teams to drive consistent adoption of enterprise legal and compliance standards across all centers

  • Serve as a responsive, trusted legal advisor to operations, resolving issues quickly and minimizing escalation

  • Build and implement standardized contracting frameworks that enable high-volume, operations-driven execution

  • Support growth initiatives including new service lines, physician arrangements, and operational expansion

  • Embed compliance into daily workflows to reduce repeat issues and strengthen operational discipline

  • Support post-close integration and de novo ASC launches to ensure legal and operational readiness

  • Act as a key connector between Legal, Compliance, Operations, Revenue Cycle, IT/Data Security, and Finance

  • Serve as legal business partner for ASC acquisitions and de novo development projects from LOI through close

  • Draft and negotiate physician syndication documents, including unit purchase agreements, amended and restated operating agreements, and physician investor side letters

What You Bring
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing

  • 5–10+ years of legal experience, ideally in healthcare or regulated multi-site environments

  • Experience working in or closely with ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), MSOs, outpatient healthcare, or similar operational healthcare settings strongly preferred

  • Background in law firm training with meaningful in-house or operational exposure

  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute)

  • Experience with contract management systems and scalable contracting processes is a plus

  • A business-first mindset, focused on enabling outcomes while managing risk pragmatically

  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into simple, actionable guidance for operators

  • Strong relationship-building skills with operational leaders and physicians

  • A bias toward execution, speed, and scalability over theoretical analysis

  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
