Citi's Equity Research team is looking for an Associate with strong financial fundamentals, intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in investing.

This opportunity is ideal for early-career professionals with approximately 1-2 years of experience who are looking to build a long-term career in Equity Research while learning directly from experienced senior analysts.

You’ll develop company expertise, financial modeling skills, and investment insights while covering one of the most dynamic sectors in the global market.

Previous experience covering the Technology sector is not required, we welcome candidates from other industries who are excited to learn and transition into areas such as Semis, Networking, Hardware, Quantum and other technology subsectors.

Responsibilities
  • Support senior analysts in researching companies across the Technology & Communications sector.
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and earnings forecasts.
  • Analyze company financial statements, industry trends, competitive positioning, and market developments.
  • Assist with writing research reports, earnings previews and recaps, thematic reports, and investment recommendations.
  • Participate in earnings calls, company meetings, industry conferences, and investor events.
  • Monitor news flow, financial results, and industry developments to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare presentation materials and research supporting client discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with senior analysts while developing deeper sector expertise and research skills.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, integrity, and professional
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Asset Management, Valuation, or another financial markets-related role.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting fundamentals, and corporate finance.
  • Experience building financial models and performing company valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, or similar methodologies).
  • Active holding of, or eligibility to obtain, SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 licenses.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for financial markets and investing.
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop expertise in a new industry or sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar financial platforms.
  • Progress toward the CFA designation is a plus, but not required.
  • Interest in the Technology & Communications sector demonstrated through professional experience, academic work, personal investing, research, or continuous learning.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$121,200.00 - $181,800.00
