THE OPPORTUNITY

Iron Bow Technologies is looking for a ESEM Platform Technical Lead to serve as the primary technical lead for the VA ESEM / NinjaOne implementation and sustainment effort. Owns platform architecture, tenant and configuration standards, implementation approach, agent strategy oversight, RBAC/SSO/PIV coordination, performance tuning, operational readiness, and OEM escalation.

Scope boundary: This role owns tool-side technical leadership and platform health. It does not own FedRAMP/ATO, VA production patch approval, endpoint maintenance-window authorization, reboot coordination, application-owner outage coordination, routine patch execution, or endpoint patch risk acceptance unless separately directed.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Lead ESEM/NinjaOne implementation planning, architecture, configuration, pilot, cutover, and transition to sustainment.
  • Translate PWS requirements into technical design decisions, configuration standards, implementation tasks, acceptance criteria, and operational runbooks.
  • Own tenant configuration, console administration, RBAC, SSO/PIV coordination, endpoint grouping, tagging, pre-production/lab validation, and change-control inputs.
  • Oversee agent strategy and coordinate with the Endpoint Deployment Engineer on packaging, rollout monitoring, failed-install triage, and endpoint communication health.
  • Coordinate with the Patch Migration SME on patch architecture, content distribution, maintenance-window design, BigFix-to-NinjaOne coexistence, and cutover readiness.
  • Support daily health checks, Daily Morning Report inputs, Weekly Tracker updates, outage triage, DR inputs, optimization recommendations, and OEM escalation.

SKILLS THAT DRIVE SUCCESS

  • 8+ years of endpoint management, systems engineering, RMM, or enterprise platform administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with NinjaOne or comparable endpoint platforms such as BigFix, Tanium, MECM/SCCM, Intune, or Jamf.
  • Experience leading large-scale endpoint implementations or migrations; 50,000+ endpoint experience preferred.
  • Strong Windows Server/Desktop, Linux, macOS, scripting, certificates, proxies, firewalls, SaaS connectivity, and remote troubleshooting background.
  • Ability to operate in ServiceNow/change-control environments and provide clear technical direction to federal stakeholders.
  • Ability to complete VA onboarding, background investigation, Rules of Behavior, and required security/privacy training.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

  • Active VA Public Trust / VA PIV and prior VA, federal civilian, healthcare, or regulated-enterprise experience.
  • NinjaOne certification, NinjaOne implementation experience, or prior OEM/partner delivery experience.
  • Experience replacing or coexisting with HCL BigFix, Tanium, MECM/SCCM, or similar endpoint management platforms.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP SaaS, FISMA, CDM, STIG/CIS reporting, and federal audit environments.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT!

  • You will be part of a company that is growing quickly and values your voice, ideas, and experience
  • You will be a key contributor to Iron Bow’s transformational shift in how we deliver value to both customers and employees.
  • You will have the pleasure of working with passionate professionals in a culture that fosters a workplace where everyone feels respected, supported and empowered to succeed.
