We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically minded ETF Capital Markets Operations Analyst to support the growth of our ETF share class business. Reporting directly to the Director of Capital Markets, this individual will play an integral role in the daily operational oversight of ETF lifecycle processes, including end-of-day basket processing, Authorized Participant (AP) interactions, reconciliations, holdings dissemination, and operational issue resolution.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational expertise with a platform-oriented and risk-focused mindset. This individual should understand ETF workflows end to end and be able to connect processes, data flows, and market activity to proactively identify and address potential operational or trading risks. The role requires someone who can quickly diagnose issues, navigate ambiguity, and partner effectively across operations and technology teams to drive timely resolution in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers broad exposure to ETF operations, capital markets, fund structures, trading workflows, and operational technology within a growing ETF business.

Responsibilities

The candidate is expected to:

  • Support ETF-related operational activity from trade inception through settlement to ensure accurate and timely execution
  • Monitor secondary market trading activity, including ETF liquidity, bid-ask spreads, premiums/discounts, and overall market quality while partnering with external capital markets participants to identify and resolve market dislocations
  • Monitor and oversee ETF basket creation/redemption workflows and Authorized Participant (AP) activity
  • Coordinate end-of-day operational processing, including basket validation, holdings dissemination, reconciliations, and cash balancing
  • Review and validate holdings files, corporate actions, pricing data, and fund-level operational reporting
  • Investigate and resolve operational breaks, reconciliation exceptions, and data discrepancies across internal and external systems
  • Partner closely with fund accounting, custodians, administrators, APs, market makers, and technology teams to support the seamless operation of the ETF ecosystem across both primary and secondary market activity
  • Monitor operational processes and system interfaces to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact production
  • Serve as the primary owner of Artisan’s end-of-day CPR process, overseeing the resolution of Trading and Capital Markets-related items to ensure accurate daily close and next-day operational readiness
  • Manage critical model delivery-related deliverables including recurring Russell and Envestnet platform and Morgan Stanley daily trade review
  • Support ETF launches, onboarding activities, and strategic process improvement initiatives while helping enhance operational procedures, controls, and exception-management frameworks that support a scalable operating model
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational controls, automate manual processes, and improve the efficiency and scalability of ETF-related workflows
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in fund operations, middle office, fund accounting, or capital markets operations, with 3–5 years of direct ETF operations experience required
  • Understanding of the ETF operational lifecycle, including creations/redemptions, basket processing, holdings dissemination, and Authorized Participant (AP) interactions
  • Familiarity with reconciliations, holdings files, corporate actions, and daily NAV-related processes
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand operational systems, data flows, interfaces, and file-based processing
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational and systems-related issues in a time-sensitive environment
  • Experience working with operational platforms, data interfaces, APIs, flat-file processing, and workflow tools preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with SQL, Python, or data analysis tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while operating effectively in a high-accountability environment
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required or must be obtained

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000

Specific placement within the provided range will be determined by an individual’s geographic location as well as relevant experience and skills for the role.
