The Executive Assistant Commercial will support the Chief Commercial Officer and the Commercial team with operational and administrative tasks, ensuring effective launch of the company’s first product. Responsibilities include managing meetings, vendor contracts, budgets, and project coordination, along with collaborating with various internal stakeholders.
Rezolute is a late-stage rare disease company focused on significantly improving outcomes for individuals with hypoglycemia caused by hyperinsulinism (HI). Our antibody therapy, RZ358 (ersodetug), is designed to treat all forms of HI and has shown substantial benefit in clinical trials and real-world use for the treatment of congenital hyperinsulinism (cHI) and tumor hyperinsulinism (tHI)
The Executive Assistant Commercial will play a critical role in supporting the successful launch of our first commercial product. This individual will provide operational and administrative support to the Chief Commercial Officer and the Commercial team, and ensure seamless coordination of departmental meetings, candidate interviews, vendor contracts, purchase orders, and project activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with experience in supporting commercial functions within the biopharmaceutical industry.
The Executive Assistant Commercial will report to the Chief Commercial Officer, and this person needs to be in the office all 5 days a week (CCO will approve exceptions) and be available during the core business hours of between 9 am and 4 pm to support the commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate Commercial team meetings, including preparation of agendas, coordination of materials, and logistical planning for onsite and offsite meetings.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Commercial vendor contracts, purchase orders (POs), invoices, and accruals.
- Support the Chief Commercial Officer in managing all his meetings, calendar, travel, expenses, off-sites, budget management, and any ad hoc support requested by the CCO.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Procurement, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate processing of Commercial vendor contracts, POs, invoices, and accruals.
- Track and monitor Commercial budget activities, providing regular updates and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assist in project management for state licensing activities, including coordination of timelines, document collection, and tracking deliverables.
- Support Commercial leadership with project planning, reporting, and tracking of key initiatives.
- Maintain team files, project trackers, and shared resources to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency within the Commercial function.
- Coordinates with HR on departmental new hire postings, virtual and onsite candidate interviews.
- Coordinate with IT and HR on company wide new systems roll-out and provide training to the Commercial team.
- Requirement - the person needs to be in the office all 5 days a week (CCO will approve exceptions) and be available during the core business hours of between 9 am and 4 pm to support the commercial team.
- Travel expectations to offsite meetings: 5%-10%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of biotech experience supporting C-level (preferred CCO or commercial experience) or related experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry, company start-up experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with vendor management, contracts, POs, invoices, and accruals; familiarity with state licensing activities a plus.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, including direct collaboration with vendors and other third parties.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project management or finance systems a plus.
- Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to liaise effectively across functions and with external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment, particularly within a growing, pre-commercial/launch-stage biotech company.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable with a strong commitment to the company’s mission of serving patients with rare diseases.

Rezolute (RZLT) currently anticipates the base salary for the Executive Assistant Commercial role could range from $110,000 to $130,000 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s geographical location and their qualifications for the role, including education and experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan (depending, in part, on company and individual performance and at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis). The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described based on current market survey data and the qualifications, education, experience and geographical location of the selected candidate.
