Role Description:

We're hiring an Executive Assistant to serve as the operational backbone of Valdera. You'll be the glue that keeps this team moving forward — keeping the office running smoothly, coordinating logistics for the leadership team, managing day-to-day operational tasks, and building the company culture programs that make Valdera a place people love.

This role sits at the center of the company. You'll coordinate team on-sites and retreats, manage the office, lead our culture committee, and provide administrative support to the leadership team. This is a high-impact role at a fast-growing company. You'll have real ownership over keeping the company and events running smoothly, and the culture programs you build will shape what it feels like to work here.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic event planning & culture ownership

  • Plan and execute company retreats and team onsites end-to-end — venue selection, travel and hotel booking, agendas, and on-the-ground logistics

  • Build and lead Valdera's culture committee from the ground up, defining its goals, recruiting members, and running regular programming

  • Own company-wide celebrations and employee appreciation initiatives, including birthdays, work anniversaries, holidays, and milestones

  • Coordinate travel for team, as needed, including flights and hotel accommodations

  • San Francisco office management

  • Keep the office running smoothly, including stocking snacks and supplies, sharing management updates, and coordinating maintenance

  • Support in‑person event/on‑site logistics support when teams are running onsites in SF

  • HR systems administration & company operations

  • Own day-to-day HR operations such as onboarding, offboarding, policies, and employee records

  • Manage budgets for company retreats, team onsites, and discretionary team spend

  • Maintain company-wide policies (travel, expenses, equipment) and other compliance tasks

  • Support interview scheduling, candidate coordination, and recruiting logistics

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in an operations or administrative role; a traditional EA or office manager background works, but so does someone scrappy who's worn a lot of hats at a startup or other fast-paced company
  • Experience in planning company retreats, offsites, and/or other events, including coordinating travel & logistics across the team
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to occasionally adapt to varying schedules to support urgent priorities

Salary Range:

Salary ranges are determined by multiple factors, including the labor market, market compensation bands, internal parity, and budget considerations. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s individual skills, qualifications, location, and experience relative to the requirements of the role.

Benefits:

Valdera offers generous benefits to employees. Full time employees are eligible for premium healthcare, dental, and vision insurance coverage. You will be provided a more detailed breakdown of your options prior to joining Valdera.

Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:

Valdera is an equal-opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We are dedicated to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination, where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute.

Please note that Valdera uses E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires.
