Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe’s experience in global payments and Paradigm’s expertise in crypto tech.
Tempo’s payment-first design provides a scalable, low-cost predictable backbone that meets the needs of high-volume payment use cases. Our goal is to move money reliably, cheaply, and at scale. Our north star is simplicity for users: fintechs, traditional banks, merchants, platforms, and anyone else looking to move their payments into the 21st century.
We're building Tempo with design partners who are global leaders in AI, e-commerce, and financial services: Anthropic, Coupang, Deutsche Bank, DoorDash, Mercury, Nubank, OpenAI, Revolut, Shopify, Standard Chartered, Visa, and more.
We’re a team of crypto-optimists, building the infrastructure needed to bring real, substantial economic flows onchain. We like to move fast and swing for the fences — join us!
The Role
We’re looking for a San Francisco–based Office Manager & Executive Operations associate to help our leadership team operate smoothly as we scale. This is a hands-on, in-office role combining light office management, executive support, and general strategic, operational support for day-to-day execution.
You’ll be the connective tissue between people, schedules, systems, and the physical office. The scope is intentionally broad: you’ll own the basics, anticipate needs, and help reduce friction so the team can stay focused on building.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and takes pride in running a tight ship.
Responsibilities
Help members of the leadership/executive team obtain more leverage in their day -- serve as a first communication stop/gatekeeper as needed.
Own day-to-day office operations for our SF office, including supplies, vendors, basic facilities coordination, and office organization.
Strategic and proactive management of complex and varying day-to-day schedules, using Google Calendar and Google suite.
Coordinate with external partners (including Paradigm support) on office-related needs.
Travel coordination -- air, ground, hotel and all accommodations.
Perform an extensive array of core administrative tasks (e.g., preparing meeting materials, contributing to our internal database, chasing down signatures) and ad hoc special projects.
Plan and execute both internal and external Tempo meetings and events.
Ensure the office runs smoothly with minimal overhead as the team grows.
Help support the Legal and People Teams with building systems and managing workflows.
Handle expenses, reimbursements, and administrative workflows.
Prepare meeting materials, track follow-ups, and help push projects across the finish line.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience -- ideally direct executive admin support with experience supporting multiple leaders in early stage or growth-stage startups.
Evidence of grit: the ability to adapt and overcome in rapidly changing situations.
Excellent written and oral communication; diplomatic and professional demeanor at all times.
Fluent in Google office platforms and Microsoft Office, with a proven ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize multiple stakeholders, functions, and tasks.
High levels of integrity and discretion.
Attributes
Exceptional team player; people-oriented
Lots of startup experience
Great listening skills
Clear and concise communication, in both 1:1 and public settings
Precise attention to detail
Adaptability in rapidly changing circumstances
Highly curious; fast learner
An affinity for, or interest in, crypto markets
