ABOUT MITHRL

We imagine a world where new medicines reach patients in months, not years, and where scientific breakthroughs happen at the speed of thought.

Mithrl is building the world’s first commercially available AI Co-Scientist. It is a discovery engine that transforms messy biological data into real insights in minutes. Scientists ask questions in natural language, and Mithrl responds with analysis, novel targets, hypotheses, and patent-ready reports.

Our traction speaks for itself:

  • 12X year-over-year revenue growth

  • Trusted by leading biotechs and big pharma across three continents

  • Driving real breakthroughs from target discovery to patient outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to work directly with the founders and help keep the company running smoothly day to day. This is not a traditional “calendar-only” role.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, exceptionally organized, proactive, and driven to grow. You should be someone who sees what needs to be done and does it — without waiting to be told — and who is excited to take on increasing ownership over time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

CEO Support
  • Manage calendars, scheduling, and priorities for the founders

  • Coordinate meetings across internal teams, customers, investors, and partners

  • Prepare agendas, notes, and follow-ups to ensure meetings turn into action

  • Act as a trusted right hand by anticipating needs and staying several steps ahead

Light Operations & Execution
  • Support day-to-day operational tasks and logistics

  • Own small projects end-to-end (travel, events, onboarding, internal coordination)

  • Track action items and ensure nothing falls through the cracks

  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and help improve processes

Ownership & Growth
  • Take initiative without needing constant direction

  • Look for ways to make the founders and team more effective

  • Learn how decisions are made in a fast-growing startup

  • Grow into broader operations, chief-of-staff–type, or program roles over time

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 0–3 years of experience (EA, operations, project coordination, or similar)

  • Highly motivated with a strong internal drive to grow

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented

  • Proactive and self-directed — you don’t wait to be told what to do

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • High ownership mindset and strong sense of responsibility

  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information

Bonus (not required):

  • Startup or high-growth environment experience

  • Interest in operations, leadership, or strategy long-term

  • Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, Zoom

WHAT YOU WILL LOVE AT MITHRL

  • Direct exposure to founders and leadership

  • Real ownership and trust from day one

  • Steep learning curve and mentorship

  • Location: Beautiful SF office with a high-energy, in-person culture

  • Benefits: Comprehensive PPO health coverage through Anthem (medical, dental, and vision) + 401(k) with top-tier plans

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
