JOB PURPOSE:

 

Reporting to the Commissioner Domestic Taxes; the purpose of this role is to develop strategic plans and initiatives for regional operations to enhance taxpayer accessibility and compliance.         This role will also oversee the management of all regional offices, ensuring they deliver high-quality taxpayer services.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

     Ensures consistent, high-quality service delivery across all regional front-end operations to meet or exceed established service standards and enhance taxpayer satisfaction.

     Develops and implements strategies to improve taxpayer compliance within the region through effective education, outreach, and enforcement initiatives.

     Optimizes regional front-end operations to improve efficiency, reduce processing times, and minimize administrative burdens for taxpayers and staff.

     Leads the adoption and integration of technology solutions to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and improve accessibility of tax services for taxpayers in the region.

     Establishes and maintains effective partnerships with local government agencies, businesses, community Organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance regional service delivery and taxpayer support.

     Effectively manages regional budgets, human resources, and other resources to ensure optimal allocation and utilization in support of front-end operations and strategic objectives.

     Monitors regional performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, providing regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders on progress and outcomes.

     Leads continuous improvement initiatives within regional front-end operations, identifying opportunities for innovation, process optimization, and service enhancement.

     Ensures regional front-end operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing tax administration and service delivery, mitigating risks, and promoting ethical conduct.

     Develops and implements training and development programs for regional staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capabilities in delivering effective taxpayer services and achieving Organisational objectives.

 

 



Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

     A Master’s Degree in either Business Administration, Taxation, Accounting, Law, Finance, or a related field.

     At least 10 years’ relevant work experience in tax administration or related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a management capacity.
