About Onebrief

Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient.

We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world.

Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief’s team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We’ve raised $320m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Sapphire Ventures, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $2.15B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most.

About Battle Road Digital

Battle Road Digital, part of Onebrief, builds large-scale simulation and wargaming systems powered by AtomEngine — our proprietary cloud-native simulation platform designed to make the world playable.

We combine technologies and talent from gaming, AI, geospatial systems, and defense operations to model complex real-world environments in real time. Our work supports mission planning, operational readiness, disaster response, and large-scale event security for government and commercial partners.

We operate at the intersection of:

  • real-time simulation technology

  • mission-critical government programs

  • modern software product development

  • high-velocity startup execution

This is not traditional defense contracting. It’s game development with real-world impact. We are building operational systems for real-world decision-making under pressure.

Why This Role Matters

This is a foundational leadership role for Battle Road Digital.

As Head of Production / Executive Producer, Wargaming & Simulations, you will help define how next-generation simulation systems are built, operated, and delivered in mission-critical environments.

You will lead the operational execution of large-scale simulation and wargaming programs — aligning product, engineering, creative simulation design, and customer outcomes into a unified operational system.

Your work will directly influence how governments and organizations prepare for complex real-world scenarios, from operational planning and readiness to disaster response and large-scale security operations.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, execution-focused Head of Production / Executive Producer to lead the delivery and operational coordination of our wargaming and simulation programs.

This role sits at the center of product, engineering, simulation design, and customer delivery. You will drive complex programs from concept through deployment while ensuring teams remain aligned, focused, and operationally effective.

You will help shape how large-scale simulations are built, delivered, and evolved — balancing customer requirements, technical realities, and mission outcomes in fast-moving environments.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, understands how to orchestrate multidisciplinary teams, and can bring structure and momentum to highly complex operational problems.

What You’ll DoLead Program Execution
  • Own execution across major wargaming and simulation initiatives from concept through deployment

  • Drive schedules, priorities, staffing coordination, and delivery planning across multiple programs

  • Ensure programs execute predictably while maintaining adaptability in rapidly evolving operational environments

  • Partner with company leadership to align strategic vision with operational execution

Drive Production Operations and Execution
  • Establish the production systems, operating rhythms, and execution frameworks that enable scalable delivery across simulation programs

  • Lead milestone planning, prioritization, resource coordination, and risk management across multidisciplinary teams

  • Improve organizational effectiveness through clear accountability, communication, and operational rigor

  • Build processes that support rapid iteration without sacrificing reliability, quality, or mission outcomes

Align Product, Engineering, and Simulation Design
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to translate vision into executable plans

  • Balance technical constraints, customer requirements, and operational realities in high-stakes environments

  • Serve as a key decision-maker across roadmap planning, delivery strategy, and program tradeoffs

  • Help unify technical, operational, and creative disciplines around a shared execution model

Lead Customer-Facing Programs
  • Steward high-visibility government and defense programs at the executive level

  • Build trusted relationships with operational users, mission partners, and senior stakeholders

  • Translate mission needs into actionable product and simulation outcomes

  • Help customers operationalize simulation capabilities in real-world environments

Build a High-Performing Production Organization
  • Build and lead a high-performing production organization spanning engineering, product, simulation design, and operational delivery

  • Mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment

  • Foster a culture of ownership, adaptability, continuous learning, and ego-free collaboration

  • Help establish Battle Road as a world-class organization for simulation and operational innovation

What We’re Looking For
  • 8+ years leading complex software, simulation, gaming, defense, or technical production programs

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, product, operations, and external stakeholders

  • Strong operational leadership and program execution capabilities in high-tempo environments

  • Experience building scalable production processes, execution frameworks, or delivery organizations

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and make effective decisions with incomplete information

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and executive audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, alignment, and momentum across teams

Preferred Experience

We value interdisciplinary experience. Candidates may come from backgrounds including:

  • game production or live operations

  • defense technology

  • military planning or wargaming

  • large-scale simulation systems

  • technical program management

  • startup operations leadership

Experience supporting U.S. government, defense, or national security programs is strongly preferred.

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Eligible for or able to maintain a U.S. security clearance

Benefits
  • Fully remote work arrangements

  • Paid parental leave

  • Health, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k) matching program

  • Life insurance

  • Generous paid holidays, PTO, and sick leave
