The Experienced Tax Staff prepares and files income tax returns, records transactions, creates financial statements, conducts tax research, and assists staff in managing workloads.

Responsibilities
- Records transactions in ledgers, prepares trial balances and simple financial statements using computer software program.
- Performs schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment, and calculates depreciation expense.
- Works effectively within given budgetary parameters; assist staff in prioritizing and managing their workload.
- Prepares income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, including federal and state tax returns for multi-state companies and consolidated returns for affiliated groups.
- Creates financial statements for businesses from analyzing transactions, reconciling bank accounts and making adjustments to journal entries.
- Conducts tax research to ensure compliance with tax law.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business, Business Management, Economics, Finance or in a closely related field,
- 2 years of work experience in public accounting or in a closely related occupation.
- Experience in preparing individual tax returns for clients.
- Experience filing corporate tax returns for LLC, S-Corporation, C-Corporation, and Non-profits.
