About the Team:  

The Factory Test team is responsible for all hazardous testing in our Long Beach facilities. We use our breadth of experience and collaborative engineering approach to support everything from very large structural tests to precise valve actuation. To that end, we design, build, and operate all test assets in Long Beach from initial concept to test execution. If you enjoy working on a multi-disciplinary team with a broad mandate and want to put hands on hardware, then this is the team for you.

This is a first-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week.

About the Role:

  • Design, build, and operate pressurized cryogenic/pneumatic/hydraulic systems to support cutting-edge rocket testing.
  • Develop and manage advanced data control systems for real-time monitoring and analysis.
  • Provide expert guidance to engineers on testing best practices, system capabilities, and operational limitations. 
  • Proactively identify and mitigate hazards to ensure a safe and efficient testing environment.
  • Create, maintain, and refine test plans and procedures to drive consistent and reliable testing outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reliability issues, improving hardware performance and test effeciency

About You:

  •  High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of relevant technical experience, including (but not limited to): 
    • Experience working with pressureized flight components
    • Operating hazardous equipment with multiple sources of energy
    • Building Complex Fluid-Mechanical Systems
  • Proficiency with Basic Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Slack). 

Nice to haves but not required:  

  • Associates Degree or Trade Certifications in pertinent disciplines: e.g., Aviation/Automotive Mechanic.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with test automation, data acquisition, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of rocket engine components such as pumps, valves, regulators, check valves, as well as electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic valves, actuators, and other fluid system components.

Hiring Range:
$40.20$60.30 USD
