Quartzy is seeking a Field Marketing Associate to help execute our field marketing programs, including conferences, supplier events, and customer-facing experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves being on the ground with customers, and can run event logistics with precision while keeping energy high.

You’ll work closely with Sales, Supplier Partnerships, and Marketing to deliver memorable events that drive pipeline and strengthen relationships with labs and suppliers.

About You

You’re smart, upbeat, and highly organized. You’re comfortable being the “front line” of a brand at events, and you’re great at solving problems in real time (shipping issues, last-minute booth changes, missing signage, schedule chaos, etc.) without losing your cool.

You don’t need to have been a Field Marketing Manager before, but you do need to be someone who can execute flawlessly, communicate clearly, and reliably deliver outcomes.

Why Quartzy

At Quartzy, we believe science moves faster when labs spend less time on logistics and more time on discovery. Our platform streamlines how labs order, track, and manage supplies so researchers can focus on scientific breakthroughs that change the world.

Quartzy is the world’s #1 lab management platform, trusted by hundreds of thousands of scientists worldwide. By combining SaaS and eCommerce in a unique business model loved by customers, we help researchers spend less time on logistics and more time on discovery. From cancer research and climate change to winemaking and vegan cheese, our impact is broad and meaningful. You’ll have the flexibility of remote work, the security of a profitable business, and the purpose of contributing to discoveries that matter. At Quartzy, your work has impact—on your life, your career, and on science worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Own event execution from start to finish
  • Plan and run logistics for conferences, trade shows, regional events, and supplier activations
  • Manage booth operations including shipping, lead retrieval, schedules, staffing plans, and on-site execution
  • Maintain and organize event inventory (SWAG, banners, booth hardware, printed materials)
  • Represent Quartzy on-site by being a friendly, energetic, confident presence at events
  • Support lead capture, basic product positioning, and smooth handoffs to Sales
  • Build relationships with suppliers, customers, and event organizers
  • Support supplier partner events including coordinating with Supplier Management to plan and execute supplier-sponsored programs
  • Help ensure Quartzy shows up professionally and consistently across supplier engagements
  • Track event performance metrics (leads captured, meetings booked, conversion to opportunities, etc.)
  • Maintain clean follow-up processes and event reporting
  • Post event, ensure leads are captured correctly and lead post-event debriefs
  • Coordinate event communications (email, LinkedIn, landing pages, calendars, etc.)
  • Support creation and organization of event materials (one-pagers, signage, simple booth messaging)
  • Be a reliable “get it done” teammate by jumping in on marketing needs beyond events when required
  • Work cross-functionally to keep things moving fast and cleanly

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelors degree in a life science related field (advanced degree is a plus, not required)
  • Strong academic performance demonstrated through coursework, GPA (3.33 or higher), or equivalent achievement.
  • Based in the Bay Area and able to come to our warehouse / HQ as needed
  • Willing and able to travel 50–60% (some weeks will be heavier depending on event calendar)
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized (you don’t drop balls)
  • Positive, high-energy, and comfortable talking with customers and partners
  • Strong execution skills: you can run an event schedule, manage vendors, and handle curveballs
  • High ownership mindset and strong work ethic. You follow through, move fast, and do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Willing to do the unglamorous work. Packing, lifting, labeling, shipping, early mornings, late nights, and solving problems on-site are all part of the job.
  • Experience supporting conferences/trade shows in life sciences is a bonus
  • Experience at a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (or similar tools) is a bonus
  • Prior experience working with universities or nonprofit research organizations is a plus, but not required

What We Offer

  • Meaningful Work - Directly enable scientific discovery across biotech, pharma, and academia.
  • Remote-First Flexibility - Work from almost anywhere with autonomy and accountability.
  • Profitable & Growing - A stable, scaling business with clear long-term opportunity.
  • Support & Benefits - Competitive benefits and flexible time off to recharge.
  • Transparency & Trust - Weekly all company stand ups, monthly town halls, and anytime access to co-founders.
  • Team & Culture - Smart, mission-driven colleagues who value collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
