ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MUST LIVE IN REGION - New York/New England

The Field Director is responsible for leading a professional sales team that will own the relationships and merchandising responsibilities with our retail partners. This individual will also be responsible for the entire sales process, not just the retail side. This individual will guide teams responsible for selling and managing retail partners from regional chains, small chains, and independent / specialty doors, plus field-level merchandising support for the assigned doors in their regions for all account types (i.e., supporting national chains). Must understand and work with other Sales Leadership to ensure assigned accounts are appropriately serviced at the HQ and door level, these responsibilities include managing distribution, trade/ regional trade marketing, and field retail execution excellence.

  • Lead & build a team of Division Managers to achieve desired business objectives
  • Work with Division Managers to translate company directives and goals into actionable plans that can be executed in their specific Divisions
  • Provide train-the-trainer coaching and mentorship for Division Managers, ensure front-line sales reps are developing selling and professional skills (through goal-setting, personalized feedback, joint sales calls, individual coaching sessions, performance reviews, etc.)
  • Synthesize regional insights and business intelligence up to the RVP and across relevant cross-functional department heads (i.e., distributor managers, national chain accounts, sales strategy)
  • Achieve OKR’s (KPI’s) set for the company, regional, and individual levels
  • Represent regional field sales cross-functionally with company HQ, regional HQ, and other teams (e.g. Trade Marketing, Distribution Management, Chain Accounts, etc.)
  • Provide direction to relevant 3rd party sales teams to ensure coordination with internal teams & productive resourcing
  • Maintain working knowledge of pertinent local and state regulations and taxes in each division, and guide Division Managers on how to optimize outcomes in their local markets
  • Assess both successes and failures with actionable plans for continuous improvement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in the highly regulated consumer products industry.
  • Proven and demonstrated sales leadership, results oriented leadership, people leadership and strategic leadership skills.
  • Ability to support others functions at multiple levels within the organization, providing customer insights and sales support in a collaborative way that gets things done through others while advancing culture of collaboration and inclusivity
  • Analytical/metrics-oriented, able to think through actions in KPI terms.
  • Strong 'selling' personality, able to execute on ad hoc business development.
  • Excel, power-point, Salesforce, Tableau etc., excellent email / other digital communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% or more of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced Degree in Business or related field.
  • Industry experience in highly regulated industries
  • Previous Regional sales leadership experience
  • Understanding the JUUL customer and vapor industry

Salary varies by role, level and location, and is dependent on the cost of labor in a given
geographic region among other factors. These ranges may be modified at any time.

$137,000$177,000 USD
