About the Role

Want to help build the future of finance with AI? At SprintRay, we’re looking for a Finance AI & Automation Intern to join our Finance team. This internship is designed for someone who is curious about finance, accounting, data, and emerging technology, and who wants to work on real projects that use AI-powered tools and automation to improve accuracy, reduce manual work, and help the Finance team make faster, smarter decisions.

You will start by learning our core finance processes, ERP system, and transaction-level data — building the finance data foundation needed for meaningful AI and automation projects. This will include helping extract, organize, and understand business transaction data, so you can identify patterns, process gaps, and opportunities for smarter workflows. As you become familiar with our systems and business processes, you will help identify, prototype, test, and document practical AI and automation solutions that improve data quality, reduce repetitive manual work, and support more timely analysis and decision-making.

This is a strong fit for someone who wants to work at the intersection of finance and emerging technology — not only learning how finance processes work, but also helping rethink how the work gets done.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify AI and automation opportunities across Finance, Accounting, AP, AR, Cost Accounting, and FP&A workflows.

  • Extract and organize ERP transaction-level data to support process mapping, data review, and automation design.

  • Pilot AI-powered tools for finance use cases such as invoice processing, reconciliations, reporting, and variance analysis.

  • Support workflow automation projects that reduce manual work, improve consistency, and strengthen data accuracy.

  • Prototype AI-assisted reporting, reconciliation, forecasting, or exception review tools for the Finance team.

  • Document use cases, testing results, process changes, and potential ROI for broader adoption.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of accounting or finance concepts, with strong interest in AI, automation, data tools, and process improvement.

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, systems, and transaction-level data, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar tools for data analysis, drafting, research, or workflow improvement.

  • Coursework or personal projects involving Python, SQL, data analytics, automation, or AI-related applications.

Employment Type

3-6 months, Onsite
