About GGWP

GGWP is a fast-paced startup co-founded by three successful entrepreneurs and backed by key strategic investors in the video game industry. Our mission is to curb toxicity in gaming by creating positive, player-centric experiences. We partner with the world's most popular online games and social platforms to build healthier digital communities.

The Role

GGWP is hiring its first Head of Finance & Operations -  a hybrid finance leader and senior operator who will own the company's financial controls, business operations, and administrative backbone. This is a senior individual contributor role with two direct reports today (HR/Ops Manager and Bookkeeper) and a clear path to a small team as the company scales.

You will partner with the CEO and the Sales, CS, Marketing, Product, and Engineering function leads to keep the business running smoothly. You will inherit a working, lean operating stack - SVB for banking, Rippling for payroll and QuickBooks for accounting, plus established external accountants, general counsel, and privacy counsel. Your job is to evaluate, tighten, and scale what is in place to start.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Controls & Approvals
  • Become the company's primary approver for payroll, vendor invoices, expense reports, and recurring commitments.
  • Build and enforce an approval matrix appropriate to a 30–60 person company.
  • Establish stage-appropriate internal financial controls - expense policy, vendor onboarding, spend visibility, segregation of duties.
Finance Operations, Reporting & Cap Table
  • Own monthly close, AP/AR hygiene, and book quality; manage the bookkeeper.
  • Coordinate external accountants, tax advisors, and payroll providers.
  • Maintain operating metrics (ARR, bookings, renewals, collections, vendor spend, runway), partnering with RevOps on revenue-side accuracy.
  • Run lightweight quarterly forecasting; produce monthly board-ready operating metrics.
  • Own cap table hygiene, 409A coordination, option grants, and equity administration.
Contract Operations
  • Own the operational flow from Closed-Won to executed order form, billing setup, and renewal tracking.
  • Manage order form creation; ensure commercial terms (billing cycles, usage allowances, overages, start and renewal dates) are captured accurately.
  • Own legal intake, redline status tracking, the contract repository, and renewal-date hygiene (MSAs, DPAs, SLAs, security exhibits, order forms).
  • Partner with external GC and privacy counsel on substantive review - this role manages process and business coordination, not legal advice.
HR / Ops, Insurance & Vendor Management
  • Manage the HR / Ops function directly; own payroll execution, benefits, headcount tracking, comp records, and onboarding/offboarding workflows.
  • Own insurance - D&O, E&O, cyber, employee health - including renewals, claims, and policy adequacy as the company grows.
  • Document and improve core business processes; build lightweight systems that make operational status visible without adding bureaucracy.
What You Bring
  • Experience: 8–12+ years across Finance Operations, Strategic Finance, Controller, or hybrid Finance/Ops leadership. B2B SaaS strongly preferred.
  • Stage fit: You have owned a multi-function finance + ops scope at a $5M–$25M ARR SaaS company.
  • Approvals fluency: You have personally signed off on payroll, AP, and vendor approvals at scale, and built approval matrices.
  • Financial literacy: Strong on SaaS billing, ARR, bookings, renewals, usage-based pricing, overages, collections, and revenue reporting.
  • Contractual fluency: Comfortable navigating MSAs, order forms, DPAs, SLAs, and security exhibits.
  • Cap table mechanics: Working knowledge of Carta (or equivalent), 409A timing, and option grant administration.
  • People management: You have managed at least 1–3 direct reports (mix of contractor and FTE).
  • Tools: High proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks, Rippling, and CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce).
  • Mindset: Practical, low-ego, and comfortable moving between strategic and tactical work in the same hour.
Success in the First Six Months
  • Routine financial approvals run without CEO involvement.
  • Monthly close runs on a predictable cadence with clean books.
  • The contract repository is organized and searchable; no renewals are missed.
  • HR/Ops and bookkeeping run on a clear operating cadence under your direct management.
  • The cap table is current; 409A and equity grants are administered on a defined schedule.
  • The CEO has a monthly operating metrics view (ARR, bookings, renewals, cash, headcount, risks) refreshed on a predictable schedule.
