This role

The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the company's financial health, and driving strategic financial planning. 

Key responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the country’s financial performance and cash management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with dotted line management of accounting, internal controls, accounts payable, and tax.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives, by providing strategic financial guidance to the Country Manager and the executive team to meet financial targets and improve margins and return on invested capital.
  • Work closely with the local accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulations.
  • Help to oversee internal controls and audit processes to ensure financial integrity and compliance, include help to manage relationships with external auditors, investors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions and monitor the company's capital structure and optimize capital allocation.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function to support strategic decision-making, overseeing the development of financial models, forecasts, and performance metrics, and provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to drive business performance.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing  mentorship and professional development opportunities to finance team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Solid work experience in the financial sector, with a strong background in accounting, capital markets, and financial planning. With significant experience in ultra growth Fintech company.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, capital markets, and financial planning.
  • Proven track record of strategic financial management and capital raising.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a multinational environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent Excel modeling skills, Google Sheets experience is a plus. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
