Position Summary
The Manager, Finance Integration & M&A will play a critical role in supporting the company's acquisition strategy by leading financial integration activities across acquired businesses. This position serves as the bridge between deal diligence, financial planning, integration execution, and post-acquisition performance management. The role will partner across Finance, Accounting, IT, Data, Operations, and external advisors to ensure newly acquired businesses are successfully integrated into the organization's financial and reporting environment. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities, M&A integration experience, FP&A expertise, and the ability to drive projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Due Diligence & Pre-Close Planning
  • Support acquisition diligence efforts by reviewing financial information, operational metrics, and business assumptions.
  • Assess synergy opportunities and validate financial projections.
  • Develop financial integration plans prior to transaction close.
  • Evaluate financial data structures, chart of accounts, and reporting frameworks of target businesses.

Acquisition Integration
  • Lead finance-related integration activities for acquired companies.
  • Coordinate the transition of financial data, reporting structures, and budgeting processes into the enterprise environment.
  • Partner with Accounting, IT, Data & Analytics, and operational teams to facilitate system conversions and data migration.
  • Support purchase accounting processes through coordination with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Establish reporting processes and performance metrics for newly acquired businesses.

Synergy & Performance Management
  • Develop and maintain synergy tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor acquisition performance against investment theses and forecast assumptions.
  • Produce post-acquisition business reviews and executive reporting.
  • Support earn-out calculations, performance monitoring, and related analyses.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions throughout the integration lifecycle.

Strategic Projects
  • Lead and support special finance initiatives as business priorities evolve.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects focused on process improvement, reporting enhancements, and operational scalability.
  • Develop repeatable integration methodologies and best practices as acquisition activity grows.

Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, corporate development, or M&A integration.
  • Direct experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or business integrations.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a private equity-backed organization.
  • Professional services industry experience.
  • Exposure to both FP&A and accounting functions.
  • Experience integrating businesses and managing post-close reporting.
  • Familiarity with Workday ERP platforms.
  • MBA, CPA, or other advanced business credentials preferred but not required.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $117,000 - $158,000 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
