This position serves as a strategic business partner between Finance/Accounting and all departments, with responsibility for balanced financial support and oversight. This role requires fundamental ownership of the overall financial planning process, including budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans. Ensures alignment between financial, operational, and commercial goals. Volume planning is critical to the success of cross-functional planning for Ghirardelli.
Preferred QualificationsIndividual contributor with potential for direct report(s) as the organization grows, reporting directly to the Finance team. Serves as a liaison between Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional leadership to coordinate financial planning processes.
Ownership of:
- Organization-wide financial review and planning calendar
- Planning process for budget, forecast, and strategic planning
- Coordination of the financial plan submission process to parent company
- Financial planning tools and software
- Long-term financial modeling
- Full coordination of volume projections between Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain Finance, and Commercial Finance
Essential Functions:
- Establish and maintain a company-wide annual planning calendar
- Implement and own financial planning software integrated with SAP ERP, that supports Ghirardelli’s financial planning cycle and delivers all required financial submissions. Requires solid knowledge of the business drivers in all areas of the P&L and balance sheet; as well as collaboration with Finance, Accounting, and budget owners to ensure best practice planning models are implemented.
