JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced, high performing Finance Manager to support Abbott’s Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) division in our Sylmar, CA location. This position is a high visibility role on CRM’s Division FP&A team.  The Finance Manager will provide leadership oversight, coordination and planning, in order to execute the financial planning processes and ensure timeliness, accuracy and integrity of financial information.  This role is also responsible for delivering analytics and business support to enable informed decision making by the executive staff as well as presentation worthy performance summaries to be shared with senior leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Position has responsibility for coordinating, consolidating and developing an Annual Plan, Latest Best Estimate (LBE) and other financial forecasts for all aspects of the CRM Division income statement and balance sheet.

  • Manage the month-end close process and reporting of monthly financial performance metrics.

  • Develop flexible, comprehensive tools and templates to support the consolidation and timely completion of corporate schedules as well as develop system solutions and process improvements that meet the needs of the financial planning and/or reporting requirements.

  • Maintain an effective and efficient planning process for the division and functional areas being supported, including the coordination of a planning calendar with key dates and deliverables. 

  • Be the liaison between Division FP&A and various finance teams within CRM as well as Med Device HQ and Corporate FP&A.

  • Develop and maintain a financial organization capable of meeting Division and Corporate requirements.  Responsible for staff development, mentoring, performance management, engagement and recruiting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

Required Qualifications:

  • BA / BS Accounting or Finance or related field; CPA or advanced education degree is preferred

  • 7+ years combine experience in General Accounting, cost accounting, FP&A

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate independently with broad scope of responsibility under minimal supervision and under challenging time constraints.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately with all levels of the organization

  • Ability or aptitude to apply in-depth knowledge of financial processes, accounting methodologies and Division-specific operations to lead complex planning processes and to support related systems and functions.     

  • Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions.      

  • Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.      

  • Ability to work independently and in groups.      

  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, analytical skills and critical-thinking skills.

     

The base pay for this position is

$112,000.00 – $224,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
