Who You Are:
We are seeking a Finance Systems Lead to own and evolve Highlevel’s financial system ecosystem You see connections across processes, systems, and data. You will design scalable, automated solutions that reduce manual work, strengthen data integrity, and keep our systems resilient and future-proof as we grow.
This role is about impact: you’ll be the architect behind how financial data flows across the team, ensuring our ERP, close, planning, and procure-to-pay systems don’t just keep pace with growth—they accelerate it. As the subject matter expert, you’ll partner with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and IT to align systems with business needs, enable smarter decision-making, and introduce cutting-edge tools like AI agents to push automation to the next level.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead administration and roadmap for our financial tech stack : ERP, financial planning, close management, equity, and procure-to-pay platforms
- Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, legal, and IT teams to ensure systems meet business needs, scale with the company, and support operational efficiency
- Maintain and optimize system configurations, workflows, and integrations to improve automation, accuracy, and usability
- Assist teams in identifying, implementing, and leveraging AI-powered tools (e.g. AI Agents) to automate manual processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions across finance systems, ensuring compliance with access controls and IT general controls (ITGCs)
- Support audit and compliance efforts by maintaining appropriate documentation, system logs, and change management processes
- Help develop and maintain both custom and standard (canned) reports from finance systems to support decision-making and operational insights
- Ensure finance systems integrate seamlessly with each other and with other internal platforms via APIs and other integration methods
- Lead new systems and tools evaluation, selection, and implementation
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to triage issues and improve system performance
- Develop and deliver training, documentation, and ongoing support for system users across the organization
- Stay current on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and system capabilities to continually enhance our finance tech stack
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience managing finance and accounting systems for a public company, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including GL, close management, FP&A, procure-to-pay, and compliance controls
- Hands-on experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting ERP and related financial systems—experience with Intacct required.
- Other systems experience highly preferred: FloQast, Abacum, Ramp, Bill.com, and Expensify
- Experience working with or implementing AI-powered tools (AI Agents) to automate finance and accounting processes, enhance reporting, or streamline workflows
- Solid understanding of system integrations and data flows, including experience working with APIs, middleware, and third-party tools
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements for public companies with the ability to fine tune systems based on these requirements.
- Familiarity with ITGCs, SOX compliance requirements, and best practices around access controls and audit support
- Proven ability to collaborate across Accounting, Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
- Experience supporting reporting needs, including building and customizing financial reports and dashboards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset when supporting internal users
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Shows curiosity in new technologies and ways to automate processes
