Ursa Major is at a stage where establishing a continued market presence is advantageous to the growth of the company. The Finance Transformation Manager will support our CFO and Director of Finance in shepherding Ursa Major’s short and long term financial strategy.

Ursa Major is seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Manager to modernize our FP&A, finance systems, data architecture, and business processes. The ideal candidate possesses a high level of critical thinking, deep technical systems expertise, and excels in a fast paced environment. The Finance Transformation Manager will be responsible for leading cross functional transformation efforts, partnering with executive leadership, and translating business needs into scalable technology and process solutions. In addition, this individual will own the preparation of monthly reporting and guide the evolution of our financial infrastructure to support our upcoming milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leadership and management teams to oversee financial analyses and models that assist in the evaluation of strategic business initiatives, capital investments, and new products within Ursa Major’s business units.
  • Direct real time cost benefit analysis to quantify the impact on projected revenue, operating expenses, assets, and cash flow.
  • Lead cross functional initiatives to modernize FP&A processes, reduce spreadsheet dependency, and implement scalable self-service reporting.
  • Own and direct the implementation and administration of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms to streamline budgeting, forecasting, and consolidations.
  • Support the annual planning process and ongoing quarterly forecasts, while guiding the transition toward dynamic monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Represent Finance in enterprise data governance discussions, ensuring business requirements align with downstream impacts to reporting and analytics.
  • Understand, utilize, and manage the systems and tools (Odoo, Navan, Bill.com, ADP, and others) required to deliver services to stakeholders whilst offering strategic recommendations as needed.
  • Manage complex assignments independently while providing strategic guidance, review, and mentorship for analysts on the team.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7 to 10+ years of professional experience modernizing FP&A, finance systems, data, and business processes.
  • Proven expertise in data analytics and visualization tools.
  • Hands on experience implementing and administering EPM tools.
  • Practical exposure to data science and machine learning (relevant coursework, cross functional team experience, or data science credentials highly preferred).
  • Experience with Agentic AI and building automated finance solutions.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and change management skills.
  • Ability to communicate directly and effectively with all levels of management, partnering with executive leadership to align business and technical requirements.

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $134,000 - $155,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. What we can’t quantify for you are the exciting challenges, supportive team, and amazing culture we enjoy. 

Classification: Full-time Exempt
