Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements, and using data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy Healthcare growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
What You'll Do:
- Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting and analyses, and recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership.
- Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance.
- Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, the Healthcare Business Development team, Product team, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations.
- Actively participate in the target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes.
- Lead all aspects of the monthly close process ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy's policies and procedures.
- Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment!
What You'll Need:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics.
- 0-2 years of years of relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and a grasp of financial statements.
- Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Sophisticated Excel (i.,e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, AI, etc.) and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with SQL coding is a must, and experience with AI (ChatGPT/Codex/Claude), Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, and Oracle ERP is a plus.
- Ability to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to address problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and make sure to meet deadlines.
- Able to adapt ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
