As a Financial Analyst, you will support the financial operations of large capital projects within the electric utility sector. You will play a key role in invoice management, financial reporting, contract administration, and vendor coordination while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to support project success.

In this role, you will work closely with project managers, project controls professionals, vendors, and finance teams to improve financial performance, streamline processes, and provide accurate reporting that supports informed business decisions.

Your Day-to-Day Activities:
  • Manage invoice processing from receipt through approval, auditing, and final payment

  • Review invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with contract requirements

  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues

  • Support contract administration and maintain accurate financial documentation

  • Utilize ERP systems to manage financial transactions and improve process efficiency

  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support project and business decision-making

  • Apply cost accounting principles to monitor project financial performance

  • Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, dashboards, and financial analyses

  • Collaborate with project teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows and reimbursement processes

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of organization and accuracy

  • Communicate financial updates and recommendations to project teams and leadership

The Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, accounting, or financial operations

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting

  • Experience processing invoices and managing financial transactions

  • Experience working with SAP

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience supporting financial operations within utilities, construction, or infrastructure environments is preferred
