The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, monitoring business performance, and providing insights that support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making. The role works closely with accounting, management, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, budgets, and business performance data.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
  • Monitor revenues, expenses, cash flow, and key financial metrics.
  • Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.
  • Compare actual results against budgets and forecasts and explain significant variances.
  • Support management with financial analysis for business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Gather, organize, and validate financial information from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with accounting and other departments to ensure data accuracy.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with financial software, ERP systems, or business intelligence tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
