Job Summary

The Financial Crime Operations Assistant shall assist the Financial Crime Operations Supervisor/ Manager execute on all financial crime operation requirements in line with Financial Crime standards to ensure improvement in regulatory and reputational risk and facilitating ongoing understanding of the financial risk in the portfolio.

Job Description

Key accountabilities

1. FATCA and CRS Reporting

  • Assist in building MI for reporting to stakeholders and forums.

  • Assist in compiling data for reporting.

  • Assist in completion of remediation of data.

2. Sanctions and PEP Alert Management

  • Assist in providing required information to Centre of Excellence for closure of alerts within SLA timelines.

  • Assist in building MI for Reporting to Management.

3. PEP Identification

  • Compilation of potential PEPs by performing searches on the relevant sources.

  • Assist in building MI for reporting.

4. KRI and FinCrime SteerCo

  • Compilation of MI for KRI Reporting and Financial Crime Steerco deck

5. Regulatory Reportings

Assist in compiling and consolidating data for the relevant regulatory reportings.

6. Preferred Education

  • A Graduate in Finance, Business Management, any Financial Crime related Diplomas or Certification.

7. Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years experience in the financial sector would be an advantage

  • Knowledge and Skills

  • Some understanding of the AML/CFT environment would be an advantage

  • Excellent knowledge and execution of Excel

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Good Planning and organization skills

  • Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to adapt and is resilient

  • Problem solver

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Business, Commerce and Management Studies
