At Sovos, we're dedicated to more than just solving compliance challenges – we're committed to making a positive and lasting difference in everything we do. Our teams operate on the modern edge of digital technology, working not only to solve complex business challenges but also to enrich our personal, professional, and local communities.

Our purpose-built systems provide the tools you need to thrive in a world where governments demand increased visibility, faster reporting and greater control over business processes. Excited about the possibilities? So are we!

Don't worry if you don't check all the boxes – apply anyway! We're focused on hiring the right people, not just the "right" resume. It's not about what you've done elsewhere; it's all about what you're capable of doing here.

The Work You'll Do:

As a Senior Financial Analyst you'll be at the heart of Sovos's financial strategy—translating numbers into narratives that drive decision-making across the organization. This role sits within our Go-to-Market Financial Planning & Analysis team, where you'll shape budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes while partnering with leaders across the business to connect financial insights to real outcomes.

You'll own the financial story behind our GTM performance, delivering analyses that inform everything from monthly operational reviews to Board presentations. If you thrive on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights and want to make an impact in a fast-paced, Private Equity-backed SaaS environment, this is your opportunity.

More specifically, you will:

  • Drive execution of monthly financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range planning activities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives
  • Partner with Accounting to maintain consistency between budgets, forecasts, and reported financials
  • Deliver insightful reporting, presentations, and variance analyses (ARR, revenue, expense, and more) to senior leadership in support of business reviews and performance management
  • Translate financial results into compelling narratives—understanding the drivers behind the numbers and communicating the "story" clearly to stakeholders
  • Project manage monthly Operational Review and Board of Directors reporting processes, ensuring deadlines are met across teams and leadership levels
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align financial forecasts with strategic priorities and operational realities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and accuracy within key financial systems (Adaptive, Keystone, NetSuite, and others)
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain integrated financial models and processes that scale with the business
  • Lead ad hoc modeling to support strategic and operational initiatives as they arise
  • Support M&A integration efforts with a focus on revenue and SaaS metrics
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance financial modeling, automate routine analyses, and accelerate insight generation

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance role, ideally within Private Equity-backed SaaS companies
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, GRR, and others), forecasting methodologies, and financial modeling best practices
  • Experience collaborating with international GTM teams (EMEA and Asia Pacific regions) is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and pivot tables
  • Hands-on experience with Adaptive, NetSuite, Tableau, Salesforce, and MS Office
  • Working knowledge of GAAP to ensure forecasts reconcile with reported results
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable insights
  • Comfort working with AI tools to enhance productivity and analytical capabilities
  • Preferred time zone: Eastern
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
