Role Overview

At CodeRabbit, we seek a highly driven Applied Customer Engineer to join our growing customer success organization in the Americas. As an early member of this team, you will act as the technical bridge between our customers and our product: deploying, integrating, and optimizing CodeRabbit’s AI-powered code review platform within complex customer environments. You will work side-by-side with engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions, ensuring customers extract maximum value and performance from our technology.

You will serve as a trusted technical advisor and problem-solver, translating customer challenges into actionable solutions while influencing our product roadmap through direct field insights. As a hands-on engineer embedded with our most strategic customers, you’ll collaborate closely with Customer Success, GTM, product, and core engineering teams to design and deliver scalable, high-impact outcomes. Above all, you will be a customer champion, committed to accelerating adoption, ensuring success, and driving innovation in every engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the technical vanguard within the customer success organization

  2. Lead the technical deployment, configuration, and optimization of CodeRabbit’s platform across diverse customer environments.

  3. Collaborate directly with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient integrations.

  4. Diagnose complex technical challenges and develop creative, effective solutions that align with customer objectives.

  5. Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing deep product knowledge, architectural guidance, and best practices.

  6. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to share customer insights, drive product improvements, and influence feature development.

  7. Deliver technical workshops, onboarding sessions, and documentation to enable customer teams and ensure successful adoption.

  8. Act as an internal technical champion for customer needs, ensuring their success drives CodeRabbit’s continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Great candidates often have these qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as Applied Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect

  2. Background in software engineering, DevOps, or systems integration, with proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Go).

  3. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  4. Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  5. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  6. Comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities.

  7. Passion for emerging technologies, particularly in AI/ML, developer productivity, and code intelligence.

“Nice to Have”

Great candidates may also have one or more of these qualifications:

  1. Strong experience with code review processes and tools

  2. Deep expertise with multiple Git providers, e.g. GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, Azure DevOps

  3. Expertise in cloud providers (especially GCP)

  4. Experience with Docker, Unix/Linux systems, networking

  5. Familiarity with observability, RCA, and debugging practices and tools

  6. Knowledge of self-hosted deployments and solutions

  7. Familiarity with SQL and databases (especially Google Cloud SQL and PostgreSQL)

  8. Knowledge of customer success, sales, and professional services (e.g. retention, expansion, MEDDPICC, services delivery)

  9. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another technical field

Base pay range for this role is $125k-175k. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location.
