Forward Deployed Engineer – Vulnerability Management & Security
AISLE is building the AI that finds, fixes, and verifies software vulnerabilities autonomously - an end-to-end system that closes the gap between when a vulnerability appears and when it's safely patched. Vulnerabilities are the #1 root cause of cyber incidents, yet most organizations take weeks or months to remediate what attackers now exploit in days. We're ending that backlog.
Our systems already find and fix vulnerabilities in the world's most heavily audited codebases - 375+ independently validated CVEs across projects like OpenSSL, curl, Linux, and Chromium - at machine speed and superhuman scale. AISLE runs entirely inside our customers' perimeter (cloud, on-prem, or fully air-gapped) and can run on our optimized models or theirs, so even the most sensitive organizations, including those operating critical infrastructure, stay in full control of their code and their models.
Backed by world-class founders, advisors, and angel investors, we're defining a new category: sovereign, AI-native security. Our goal isn't to improve vulnerability management - it's to end the backlog and move toward a future where software defends itself.
We’re a small, talent-dense team spread across Europe, the US and Canada. We value high ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. If you want to work with world-class minds in AI and security, thrive in fast-moving environments, and care about solving one of the toughest challenges in tech, Aisle is the place for you.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will be the technical force at the frontline of AISLE’s deployments inside sensitive government, defense, and enterprise environments. You won't just be advising — you will be reading code, modifying software pipelines, integrating autonomous defense systems into complex customer architectures, and solving non-trivial technical security challenges on the ground.
This is a high-autonomy, hybrid role combining the technical rigor of a Systems/Security Software Engineer with the problem-solving and client-facing ownership of an FDE.
What we're looking for• Cleared Professional: You hold an active UK SC / DV, EU Secret, NATO Secret, or equivalent national security clearance.
• Security Engineer & Developer: You can read and write production code (e.g., Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++) and deeply understand core vulnerability classes (memory safety, logic flaws, web/network attack surfaces, zero-day dynamics).
• Customer-Facing Execution: You thrive in high-stakes environments, communicating complex technical concepts cleanly to both senior stakeholders and hands-on system administrators.
• Systems Mindset: You are comfortable working around complex IT/OT/VPC architectures, air-gapped networks, Linux kernel internals, and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Mission-Driven: You care deeply about national security, sovereign cyber defense, and building technology that actively defends free societies.
What you’ll do• Deploy & Integrate: Lead the technical deployment, configuration, and integration of AISLE’s autonomous security platforms into sovereign, air-gapped, and high-security enterprise networks across the UK and EU.
• Code & Remediate: Dive directly into customer and platform codebase (C/C++, Rust, Go, Python) to assist with vulnerability identification, patch verification, and custom security tooling integrations.
• Bridge Product & Customer: Serve as the technical feedback loop between field deployments and our core Engineering/AI teams, translating unique operational edge-cases into core platform capabilities.
• Security Operations & Hardening: Navigate complex customer authentication, cross-domain solutions, network constraints, and compliance frameworks without sacrificing execution speed.
• Technical Ownership: Build deep trust with customer engineering, SOC, and operational leadership as a subject matter expert in vulnerability management and automated defense.
