About Foundation Health

Foundation Health is transforming healthcare through an AI-powered digital pharmacy platform that seamlessly connects operational infrastructure with high quality patient experiences. Our mission is to transform patient centric care by connecting fragmented infrastructure, optimizing care coordination, and removing friction from the patient journey.

This ambitious vision is only achievable with the dedication of the right team propelling us forward. We firmly believe that a supportive and inspiring work environment fuels creativity, transforming it into groundbreaking innovation. It is this very innovation that not only benefits our organization but also positively impacts our people, partners, and most importantly, our patients.

The Role

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who loves solving real-world problems in complex, regulated environments. You’ll work hands-on with some of the largest healthy systems and pharma manufacturers in the world, bringing Foundation Health’s AI-powered platform to life in production settings, integrating deeply into customer workflows, running proofs of concept, and ensuring our technology delivers measurable operational impact.

You’ll bridge the gap between engineering, product, and the front line of care delivery, understanding users’ needs firsthand, crafting data-driven solutions, and influencing how our platform evolves.

You’ll be building at the frontier of healthcare and AI, where every deployment directly improves how patients access care. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll be part of a small, fast-moving team shaping both the product and how it reaches the world. Your work will not only deliver technology but transform outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Engage directly with healthcare partners, both remotely and onsite, to deeply understand their workflows, infrastructure, and pain points.

  • Design and implement integrations between Foundation Health’s platform and client systems (e.g., EMRs, pharmacy data systems, care coordination tools).

  • Build and deploy proofs of concept using real-world operational data to demonstrate measurable outcomes for clients.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering to improve the core platform based on deployment learnings and customer feedback.

  • Partner cross-functionally with product, data, and customer success teams to ensure each deployment delivers both technical and clinical value.

  • Contribute code, debug live environments, and design solutions that scale securely in healthcare settings.

  • Communicate customer insights and data-backed findings that inform roadmap and architecture decisions.

Who You Are
  • 1+ years of software engineering ideally in customer-facing or deployment-heavy roles.

  • Strong full-stack or backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript (Python or SQL familiarity is a plus).

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to uncover customer pain points and validate impact.

  • Excellent communicator, comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

  • Deep curiosity for understanding how systems, people, and workflows interact in real-world environments.

  • Passionate about solving big, world changing problems.

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) or integration with EMR systems like Epic.

Our Tech Stack
  • Languages: Node.js, TypeScript

  • Frameworks: SvelteKit

  • Infrastructure: Docker, Terraform

  • Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, API Gateway)

What We Offer
  • Employee Stock Options – share in our success.

  • Company-issued Apple MacBook Pro for all employees.

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage – medical, dental, and vision.

  • Life Assurance Benefit.

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan.

  • Unlimited PTO – we trust you to take the time you need.

  • Flexible Working Arrangements – hybrid setup with focus time and collaboration days.
