We’re looking for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team and help us build our modern service management platform.This position is based in Palo Alto. We offer competitive pay to employees and practical benefits for their whole family.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, architect, and deploy AI-powered workflow automation solutions tailored to customer needs using Atomicwork’s platform and modern AI frameworks.
  • Conduct deep requirements discovery and translate business problems into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Work hands-on with enterprise customers, becoming a trusted advisor for ITSM + AI-driven transformation.
  • Implement integrations, automations, APIs, and microservices to connect Atomicwork within customer environments.
  • Lead deployment cycles from prototype to production, ensuring reliability, scalability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Train and onboard customer technical teams, ensuring best-practice configuration and adoption.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with customer engineering and operations teams to drive solution success.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering, contributing insights from real customer use cases to influence roadmap decisions.
  • Champion AI adoption and workflow automation, driving business transformation and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly through documentation, demos, and conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Strong engineering and technical foundations with hands-on experience building and deploying solutions.
  • Experience with backend development using Python, JavaScript, or similar, including APIs and systems integration.
  • Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, or automation technologies (experience taking solutions live in production is a big plus).
  • Experience working in startups or high-ownership environments — startup DNA is a must.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a customer-first mindset.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills—confidence interacting with leadership and technical teams.
