About Unlimited:

Unlimited is an AI-native engineering and construction company reimagining how large-scale physical infrastructure gets built – from factories to power plants to entire industrial systems. We’re already delivering real projects with customers across multiple industries, using our AI-first engineering platform to design an order of magnitude faster than industry norms.

Backed by a $12M seed round from Andreessen Horowitz, CIV, Bessemer, and other leading investors, we’re building a small, engineering-led team to scale what’s already working and to take on one of the most important challenges of the coming decades.

About the Role:

We’re looking for Forward Deployed Engineers to work directly with our customers and on live projects we're delivering - embedding with multiple teams, learning their workflows, and leveraging our AI platform to radically accelerate how they design and deliver capital projects.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer operations. You’ll be the hands-on technical partner that helps customers turn complex engineering processes into automated, AI-driven workflows. You’ll also work closely with Unlimited’s internal platform team, translating what you learn in the field into product requirements and new capabilities.

We act as our customers’ go-to AI partner. That means we carry both the opportunity and the responsibility to help them reinvent how their businesses operate with AI at the core. This role is perfect for an engineer who wants to stay deeply technical while also developing strong product and commercial instincts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Embed with customer teams to understand their engineering and project development workflows in detail.

  • Use Unlimited’s AI platform to design and deploy automated workflows that eliminate bottlenecks and accelerate project delivery.

  • Work across mechanical, electrical, civil, and software domains to translate customer problems into data and logic that the AI can act on.

  • Collaborate with the platform team to surface new requirements, identify missing features, and influence product direction.

  • Champion the customer’s perspective internally to ensure the platform evolves to meet real-world needs.

  • Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders.

You Have:

  • A background in software, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering with a strong interest in AI and automation.

  • Experience deploying or integrating technology in production environments, ideally within complex or technical industries.

  • Eagerness to work directly with customers to uncover requirements, build prototypes, and deliver outcomes.

  • Curiosity across multiple disciplines and a desire to learn how AI can reinvent how hardware engineering workflows.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines, translating between engineering domains to solve complex, cross-functional problems.

  • Comfort working under tight deadlines and ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-output environment.

  • Ability to travel to projects and embed with customers as needed.
