We’re Redefining the $11T B2B Commerce and Payments Market
Nuvo is bringing B2B commerce online.
While technology has reshaped consumer commerce, the business-to-business (B2B) economy — three times larger— has lagged behind.
From coffee to lumber, every product we use has been traded through a complex supply chain of suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers. Despite the massive scale of this market, most businesses manage their trading relationships and commerce activities using outdated methods like paper forms, PDFs, emails, faxes, phone calls, and spreadsheets, making processes slow and inefficient.
Much like how Shopify, Stripe and Square have transformed how consumer companies transact, we aim to do the same for B2B companies.
We are looking for pragmatic engineers who thrive at the intersection of software development and real-world customer impact. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with customers, partners, and internal teams to build, integrate, and optimize mission-critical systems that enable seamless wholesale commerce.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy fast-paced problem-solving, engaging with customers to understand their needs, and deploying tailored technical solutions in real-world environments. Your work will directly impact how businesses transact, helping them to move faster and operate more efficiently.
- Collaborate with customers and customer success to deeply understand customer’s workflows, pain points, and technical requirements.
- Design and deploy customized solutions that integrate Nuvo's platform with customer systems, ensuring seamless adoption and performance.
- Design and build custom features for Nuvo’s largest, most complicated customers that solve their most pressing problems.
- Work cross-functionally with customer success, product, engineering, and business teams to shape Nuvo’s roadmap based on field insights.
- Utilize the best tool necessary to build connectivity between core business systems
- Serve as a trusted technical partner to customers, helping them maximize the value of Nuvo’s products.
- A strong background in software engineering or computer science.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in ambiguous, high-stakes environments.
- A customer-centric mindset, with the ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- A drive to figure out the best way to solve problems. You’ve hacked systems together quickly and are deeply resourceful
- A passion for fast execution and continuous improvement.
- The ability to thrive in an early-stage company, taking ownership and moving quickly to deliver impact.
- You are curious about the technology landscape and are deeply aware of advancements in engineering techniques, systems and tooling
- Background in working with enterprise customers, integrations, or B2B platforms.
- Previous experience in founding, founding engineering, solution engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
This role is perfect for engineers who want to see the direct impact of their work in the real world while still building high-quality software. If you’re excited about shaping the future of B2B commerce and enjoy tackling complex technical challenges with customers, we’d love to hear from you!
