The Founding Account Executive will manage the full sales cycle, generate leads, and engage with internal audit and SOX leaders to close deals while establishing a repeatable sales engine.

Bead AI is automating SOX testing with AI, providing a clear 300% ROI and reducing testing time by 70%. We have very strong early traction, closing deals with companies ranging from Fortune 500s to Mag-7. We have extremely clear signs of PMF and are starting to scale.

What you’ll do
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting to close
  • Generate most of your own pipeline: outbound, referrals, events, and account research
  • Sell to Internal Audit and SOX leaders (VPs, CAEs, Heads of SOX, SOX Managers) with sharp discovery, demos, and business cases tied to time savings, audit quality, and risk reduction
  • Navigate complex buying across Audit, Finance, IT, Security, Procurement, and Legal
  • Scope pilots — success criteria and conversion path — before they start
  • Help write the sales playbook for future AEs

This is a founding role: you'll help turn founder-led sales into a repeatable engine.

You are
  • A full-cycle seller today who can build a pipeline without SDRs or inbound
  • Fluent in SOX, internal audit, GRC, controls, risk, or compliance
  • Comfortable selling to conservative G&A buyers where trust and timing matter
  • Competitive, high-agency, low-ego, and willing to do the unglamorous work
  • AI-native: you use AI daily for research, prep, outbound, and follow-up

This is a great fit if you
  • Worked in audit, SOX, Big 4, risk advisory, IT audit, or public accounting
  • Built pipeline from scratch as a BDR/SDR
  • Have closed net-new, ideally selling audit, SOX, GRC, or compliance software
  • Want the ownership and upside of being the first AE

This won’t be the right role if you
  • Don't have real SOX, audit, GRC, risk, or compliance experience
  • Are breaking into sales for the first time
  • Need SDRs or inbound to fill your pipeline
  • Prefer managing accounts over hunting net-new
  • Want a polished playbook and mature enablement
  • Aren't already using AI daily

What we offer
  • OTE: $190k–$260k per year, meaningful equity
  • Full medical insurance, relocation support
  • In-person team in San Francisco, working directly with the founding team
  • A real shot at defining how an entire category gets sold

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
