Remote (Canada): Founding BDR (GTM)

At Fellow, we’re on a mission to give every employee their own AI-powered Chief of Staff, an assistant that understands your meeting discussions, surfaces key insights, answers questions, and takes action so you can focus on what matters most. You’ll be joining an ambitious team well on its way to building the next big thing in tech.

Why Fellow?
Fellow is a remote-first, Series A startup backed by Craft Ventures, iNovia, and Felicis. Our founders previously built Fluidware (acquired by SurveyMonkey), and we’re now helping the world’s best teams - from Shopify, HubSpot, and Warner Media, to startups across the globe - make meetings more productive with the power of AI. The team has built an amazing product that people love (4.7 Stars | 1000+ G2 Reviews) and is growing fast.

The Role:

This is a founding GTM hire with a direct path to building and leading our entire sales development function. You'll be the first boots on the ground for pipeline generation, working directly with our VP Revenue and other GTM leaders to establish the playbooks, processes, and strategies that will scale Fellow to category dominance.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional with a strong desire for personal career growth, a passion for sales and a strong interest in working in a fast-growing startup. We envision this candidate either quickly building out a Business Development team under them or moving into a quota-carrying seller position in the company.

What you’ll do:

  • High-volume cold calling and inbound lead qualification
  • Create and deliver exceptional outreach across email and LinkedIn
  • Own the process of booking meetings and pipeline generation across both inbound and outbound channels
  • Be closely involved in our inbound strategy, working with sales and marketing to drive more inbound business
  • Conduct focused, insight-led discovery to uncover a prospect’s role, context, challenges, and timeline
  • Build a network of leaders, fostering relationships across our market and sharing Fellow’s progress.
  • Attend regular industry events, representing Fellow at conferences
  • Become an expert at telling the Fellow story and articulating our value proposition.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 1.5 Years of experience in a BDR role
  • A proven track record as a top performer
  • Independent, self-starter with a bias for action
  • Eager to ask for feedback, improve and adapt
  • Hunger and drive - Someone with high aspirations, a competitive nature, and rapid career progression goals.
  • Attention to detail - We care about producing high-quality work at Fellow, not just volume.
  • Grit and Resilience - Business Development is tough; we need someone who can push through the "no's" and keep their head up.
  • Entrepreneurial and hard-working - Someone excited to build a company, work hard, and make things happen.

Equal Opportunity Employer

At Fellow, we understand the value of having a diverse team. That’s why we believe in providing equal opportunity regardless of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family status, genetic characteristics, disability, and conviction. Please let us know if you require accommodation during the recruitment process.
