Ontarion
Founding Full-Stack Engineer (React + Node.js) — Ontarion (Remote, US) · $130,000–160,000 + 0.3–0.6% equity
Build the core product interface (chat, citations, admin settings) from scratch, ship weekly to design partners, own UX decisions, establish frontend architecture and conventions, and work directly with founders to prioritize and implement features.
Our product has a dozen customers using it and no dedicated frontend owner yet. We need someone who can build the interface fast enough to keep up with what they're asking for.
About us Ontarion is a seed-stage AI company (9 people) building an enterprise AI copilot for our first design-partner customers. Stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS.
What you'll do
- Build our core product interface from scratch: chat, citations, admin settings
- Ship directly to design partners on a weekly basis and react to real usage
- Make UX calls yourself — there's no dedicated designer yet, though that's our next hire
- Set the frontend architecture and conventions the next engineers will inherit
- Work directly with the founders on what to build next
What we're looking for Must-have:
- 3+ years building production apps with React and Node.js
- Comfortable owning UX decisions without a dedicated designer
- Experience designing APIs end-to-end
- Comfortable with a fast, spec-light environment where priorities shift weekly
Nice to have:
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Early-stage startup experience
What we offer
- $130,000–160,000/year + 0.3–0.6% equity
- Fully remote (US timezones)
- Health/dental/vision covered
- Flexible PTO
- $2,000/year learning budget
