About Macroscope

Macroscope aims to be the source of truth of what's happening for any company that builds software. Our mission is to give leaders clarity and engineers time.

We help leaders understand how their products and codebases are evolving—what’s changing, who’s working on what, and where progress is happening—grounded in the ultimate source of truth: the code.

Macroscope is founded by former entrepreneurs who have started and sold multiple companies, and operated as product/engineering executives at public tech companies. We're fortunate to be supported by the best VC firms and angels in the business, including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Thrive Capital, Google Ventures, and Adverb.

We’re hiring our Founding Growth Marketer to build and scale demand from the ground up. As our Founding Growth Marketer, you’ll own top-of-funnel growth across both our product-led and enterprise sales motions, partnering closely with sales to generate qualified pipeline and drive revenue growth.

This is a high-impact role for someone excited to build a marketing function from scratch and directly influence the company’s growth trajectory.

What You'll Do
  • Own demand generation strategy and execution across both product-led growth (PLG) and sales-assisted motions.

  • Build and scale inbound pipeline for Account Executives, with a focus on enterprise customer acquisition.

  • Design, run, and optimize growth experiments across paid, content, events, partnerships, and lifecycle channels.

  • Manage and optimize paid acquisition programs, starting with Google Ads and expanding into additional channels over time.

  • Lead product and growth marketing initiatives, including launches, announcements, lifecycle campaigns, and community engagement across channels such as Slack and social media.

  • Create compelling content and campaigns in partnership with design and product teams.

  • Plan and execute creative activations, events, and marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth.

What Success Looks Like
  • Consistent growth in top-of-funnel traffic, product signups, and qualified pipeline.

  • Predictable pipeline generation that supports the expansion and success of the sales team.

  • A scalable, repeatable growth engine across both PLG and enterprise funnels.

  • Clear, differentiated messaging and high-performing content across all marketing channels.

  • Strong alignment between marketing, product, and sales, resulting in measurable revenue impact.

Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or a related role at a high-growth startup.

  • Proven track record of generating pipeline and driving revenue outcomes, not just supporting marketing programs.

  • Experience marketing to developers or technical audiences; experience with developer tools is strongly preferred.

  • Comfortable operating in a zero-to-one environment—scrappy, resourceful, experimental, and highly hands-on.

  • Strong understanding of PLG, enterprise sales, and hybrid go-to-market motions.

  • Experience managing paid acquisition programs, particularly Google Ads, with a data-driven approach to optimization.

  • Familiarity with modern marketing and growth tools, including analytics platforms, AI tools, CRMs, and automation systems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for technical audiences.

The base pay for the Founding Growth Marketer position ranges from $120/year to $250/year. Pay is based on several factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

About you
  • You are extremely high agency. We are a small startup and we intend to keep an extremely flat organizational structure for as long as possible. Instead of relying on people managers, product managers and heavy processes, we rely on exceptionally talented individuals with high agency to be self-motivated towards contributing to our mission.

  • You want to work at an early stage start-up. The default state of any startup is failure. The only way to overcome the daunting odds of making a startup venture successful is for a densely packed group of insanely hard working and talented people to work together to building something useful to and loved by customers. If you're not willing to work extremely hard on something high risk, this startup isn't for you.

  • You act like an owner. You put immense care and craft into what you build because you take responsibility for all parts of the product. You don't walk past broken windows.

  • You care about what we're building. Life's too short to work on something you're not passionate about. We are a small group of ambitious people who want to build something insanely great that we want to use, and that we think every company will want to use. If our mission and product doesn't resonate with you, we understand and would encourage you to find something that does.
